Our under 14’s began their season away at Rising Hope.

On a bobbly sloping pitch and with the wind blowing the conditions were not great but we dominated possession and took the lead when Charlie pounced.

It looked like the half would end 1-0 but just before half-time first Ben and then Morris added well taken goals and 3-0 at half time was not undeserved.

Into the 2nd half which was a similar pattern until Rising Hope won a corner and some lapse defending saw the ball trickle in.

The next goal seemed vital and it came in the final 10 minutes when Jackson scored and then Morris added some gloss with his 2nd and our 5th.

A nice 5-1 win to get the season going and player of the match to Leighton 🏆 who was dominant at the heart of the defence.

Venturas u13s started their league campaign today against Geddington, and everyone watching would be wondering how it ended 1-1, and not a resounding victory for Thrapston!

We started on the front foot and were soon creating chances through Leo, Brody and Jackson, either forcing saves or just being off target, but the goal just wouldn't come.
Second half and it wasn't long before we did finally score. Leo latching onto a perfectly waited pass from Jackson, and slotting home to give us the lead ⚽️
The chances kept coming, but we couldn't put them away. Geddington broke and created a chance to score to make it 1-1.
Despite having more chances to score, the game ended 1-1 🤝

Some brilliant performances all round, but player of the match went to Brody for his all action display in midfield 🏆

Thrapston Venturas FC U8’s faced Earls Barton U8 White in a real game of two halves. Thrapston were on top in the first half, playing some excellent football with the goals shared amongst the team and Lucas producing some fantastic saves. After Thrapston went ahead, Earls Barton were able to bring on an additional player, which changed the momentum of the game and provided a new challenge for the boys. Plenty of lessons to take forward and lots to be proud of. Well done to Alfie 🏆, our Player of the Match, and to all the boys for their brilliant effort and hard work. Onwards to next week!

What a brilliant first game to the season. The girls attacking was on point today. They were very strong and skilled on the ball with some brilliant goals. There were so brilliant tackles today from all the girls showing shear determination to win the ball back. We are so proud of them and I can’t wait to see how they develop as individuals and as a team this season. It was a brilliant game and some very positive cheering from the parents on the sidelines.

Player of the match this game goes to Ava 🏆. Couldn’t fault her play today. Brilliant goals, passes, dribbling and tackling. You did some brilliant crosses in to the box. Well done Ava you should be really proud of the game you played today

Our U11s kicked off their season today with a brilliant display against FC Aztec Phoenix 🟢 at North Park in Kettering.
The intensity we’ve been working on in training was clearly on display and each player gave it their all and performed very well.

POTM went to Frank 🏆 as the ball was glued to his feet and he danced through the opposition, but also his positioning play while defending was on point.

Before the game, both teams paid their respects in a 1 minute applause in memory of Max Hall, a 14yr old boy from Corby who recently passed away in August.
Our thoughts and condolences are with those close to Max and the children all paid their respects impeccably ❤️

As many of you will be aware the Club provides an opportunity for all its 14+ year old players to attend cardiac screening. The details of the next session in Kettering is on the picture below. These sessions go very quickly so if you are interested please book asap.
Simply follow the link and this will take you to the booking system. You will need the password in the poster to access the sessions as they are not currently open to the general public.
These sessions are funded by a local charity and are therefore free to attend.
