🚨TRUST STATEMENT🚨

To All Poppies Supporters:

We would like to thank the Football Club for their latest statement, in which they acknowledged that “Discussions remain ongoing with a number of potential investors and one consortium in particular” and that “There are meetings planned”.

We would encourage Supporters to allow this process to take its course, and in the meantime get solidly behind the team. On the field we remain unbeaten this season, and negativity online and in the stands will inevitably affect the team, and possibly make some Supporters decide to stay away due to an increasingly toxic atmosphere.

The Trust are fully aware of the disquiet among the fanbase, and we will continue to convey concerns of Supporters to the Club.

In the end the Supporters, the Club and any other interested parties all want the same thing - a successful, stable Kettering Town FC.

UP THE POPPIES!

🚨⍰ What have the Supporters Trust ever done for us ⍰🚨

🙋‍♂️The Toilet renovations?…

What?

The Toilet renovations? Remember the Trust donated £2500, which has been spent renovating the toilets inside the ground…

🙋🏻‍♀️Oh yeah, That’s true, they did do that…

🙋🏼‍♂️The covered terracing?

🙋🏻‍♀️Yes - they raised £25,000 which paid for the extended covered terracing at the Tin Hat end. Remember what it was like before that!

Alright! I’ll grant you that the the toilet renovations and the terracing are two things the Trust has done…

🙋🏼‍♂️Helped save the club from extinction on several occasions?…

Well yeah, obviously saving the club goes without saying doesn’t it - Mark English, Imraan, CVA, blah blah blah - But apart from the toilet renovations, the terracing and saving the club from oblivion - what have the Supporter’s Trust ever done for us?

🙋🏽‍♂️The huge memorabilia collection?

🙋‍♀️The Defibrillators? (2 funded so far, and a 3rd which will also be accessible to the local community on the way)

🙋‍♂️The Free water? (Nearly 500 bottles of free water handed out during the heatwave match against Bradford PA)

Yeah, Yeah, alright, fair enough….

🙋🏽‍♂️The french drain? (Money donated to help with pitch drainage)

🙋🏽Supporter representation? The Trust has maintained a constant a dialogue with club owners over the years, to ensure supporters views are heard - and they have had a seat on the board in the past, and seek to do so again going forward..

Well yes - direct dialogue with club owners is certainly valuable, and difficult to maintain….

🙋🏻‍♂️Easter Egg handouts for the kids?
🙋🏻‍♀️Organised the Christmas party?
🙋‍♂️The Food bank collections?
🙋🏻‍♂️The Golf day? - don’t forget about the golf day…

All right, all right!… But apart from the toilet renovations, the terracing, saving the club from oblivion, the defibrillators, the memorabilia collection, the free water, the french drain, Supporter representation, the Easter Egg handouts, the Christmas party, the food bank collections and the golf day, What have the Supporters Trust ever done for us?….

🙋🏼‍♂️The money they’re raising for the stair lift in the clubhouse?…

Oh shut up!

UPDATE - SUPPORTERS QUESTIONS FOR GEORGE

Following the recent meeting hosted by Brad Piercewright and his consortium, The Trust offered to put questions and concerns from Supporters to club owner George Akhtar.

George very kindly agreed to meet with us, and offered answers to most of our questions. Many of the same questions that we asked of George were also asked of him by the club media team, and his answers were broadly in line with those he gave to the Trust.

Rather than list them all, which would make for a lengthy post, you can see the interview he gave to the media team here: https://youtu.be/DaS6C5e4lo8?si=MAPMd8Yiua2V3aYe

The main question from a Trust perspective was around the toilet renovations and our donation towards them. You will have seen details of the resolution to this particular issue in our recent email, and on our socials. We are delighted that the toilet renovations are now proceeding apace inside the ground.

The only question George was not able to answer at the time, for various reasons, was the question around Liam McDonald, the FA investigation, and what plans were in place should he receive a ban. This has obviously now played out, and so has also now been answered.

It is part of our remit as a Trust to hold the club owners to account to help protect the future of the club, and we will continue to do so.

We extend our thanks to George for agreeing to meet with us, and for engaging positively with all of our questions and concerns.

Thanks as always for your continued support.

TOILET RENOVATIONS - UPDATE

Just a quick update on the toilet renovations at Latimer Park, which the Trust donated £2,500 towards.

As many of you will know, the Trust made the £2,500 donation last year to go towards renovationg the toilets in the clubhouse at Latimer Park.

This project met with several delays, meaning the money had yet to be spent. Current plans with the clubhouse mean that the toilet configuration may need to be changed, so the renovations were put on hold. With no clear timeline for this, it was agreed between the Trust and George that the money would be re-allocated to renovate the toilets inside the ground instead.

It was further decided that the easiest way for this to happen would be for George to return the £2,500 to the Trust, and for the Trust to project manage and pay for the work ourselves.

We can confirm that the money has now been returned, and that work is well under way on the toilets.

The Male toilet facilities at the Morrisons end are now almost complete - as can be seen from the attached "Before" and "Current State of Play" photos.

There are a few bits still to sort, and then we will be getting to work renovating the female facilities.

We hope to have the work completed as soon as possible, and we will keep you updated. A big thank you to Workforce Bathrooms and Tiling for undertaking the renovations.

Our heartfelt thanks again to all of those who helped us raise these funds, and rest assured the money will be spent on improving the matchday experience for our supporters.

A reminder also that money from this year's membership fees will be going towards the cost of installing a stair lift in the clubhouse to give more people access to the hospitality area, which is used not just on match days, but also for other events throughout the year.

You can join the Trust, or renew your membership on our website here: https://ktfctrust30.blogspot.com/p/membership.html?m=1

Thanks as always for your continued support.
