Howdy folks,

If you haven't seen or heard yet I am stepping back into the wrestling ring on Saturday 16th May 2026 for . The event takes place at Bitterne Park School in Southampton.

This is a big deal for me and after coming back from injury then having a scary medical episode earlier this year I am not wasting any more time! I have been involved with for a number of years with BJJ and coaching freestyle wrestling, and this has kept me combat ready but now it is time to step back in the ring as a Special Guest Referee.

For me personally, this is about more than wrestling, it’s about proving that your story isn’t finished—and that you can always write a new chapter!

But I want this to be more about just stepping back in the ring though, as a teacher working closely with SEND students, I have dedicated my teaching career to breaking down barriers to learning and achievement. I want my journey back into wrestling to serve as a living example of the values I promote in my classroom: I want my students to see that they matter, no matter what challenges they face, no matter what barriers are in front of them, they can achieve incredible things if they believe in themselves and are willing to work for it.
