With temperatures rising, please make sure you and your family stay safe while enjoying the sunshine. ☀️⚽

✅ Drink plenty of water
✅ Wear suncream and a hat
✅ Take regular breaks in the shade
✅ Avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day
✅ Keep an eye on teammates, friends, and loved ones

Today saw The Comets entering the Geddington Invitational full of confidence AND pizza from a fantastic night at our presentation evening. The boys put everything in to today and worked tirelessly getting through to the Grand Final and unfortunately losing to a very good Thrapston team. Dean and I would normally choose a player of the tournament but all the boys were fantastic making it an impossible decision.

James - His reflexes in goal today was like watching Spider-Man after 17 cups of coffee. He was quick off his line and pulled off some absolutely world class saves!

Noah - Battled hard at the back and on the wing proving his multi-ability to drive forward with the ball and be solid in the tackle

Nate - made some great passes today and worked really hard in midfield and defense. Scored the equaliser against a very difficult Ise Lodge team. He even celebrated!

Louie - his physicality made a big difference today. The way he wins the ball is so prolific and can also pick out a great pass to put us on the front foot is brilliant. Scored from the halfway line after I specifically shouted not to shoot… what do I know… 😆😆

Frankie - Was a real talisman up front, driving with the ball and got himself a couple of goals as a reward. He provided a lot of pressure to our opposition, allowing our wingers to push on.

Mateo - we saw super confident ‘I’m shooting from everywhere’ Mateo today. Scored a couple of great goals and wasn’t afraid to challenge and run with the ball.

Ethan - our ‘Gareth Bale’ is back! He did not stop running today. He got his head up and played some great passes and was involved in all of our great team goals.

Again, we saw a brilliant display from all of you boys and we’re super proud watching you develop into a fantastic team.
Thanks Geddington for a great invitational. All coaches and players were a credit to their clubs and we look forward to another at some point in the future

A huge thank you to all of our players for their hard work and commitment throughout the 25/26 season. You have all been fantastic and should be very proud of yourselves.

A fantastic afternoon celebrating a brilliant 25/26 season and recognising some outstanding achievements across the team.

Followed by our traditional mums vs girls game, where the girls reminded us why we are better off cheering from the sidelines!

⚽️ We’re wondering whether our amazing Wildcats have been influenced by the start of the Men’s World Cup as there were some super skills on show at our session last night!

✨ It’s great to see our players growing in confidence, having a go at the skills we work on each week & then trying them out in the 3v3 games.

😸 Big shout out to Millie & Summer who joined us for their first session & also to Layla C & Isabelle who did a great job as their Wildcats buddies & made them feel welcome.

🏆 And a big well done to Lily who was this week’s WOW! Wildcat of the Week recipient. Lily only joined us a few weeks ago but has shown really good listening skills & great determination to keep practicing her skills & we could see the evidence of this last night. Well done Lily 🙌🏼

Today, the Mawsley Thundercats U13 Girls travelled to the brilliantly organised Bugbrooke Tournament for what will be our last 9-a-side games for a while.

The girls arrived in great spirits, looking sharp and ready to enjoy their day.

The girls finished 3rd in the group, earning a place in the semi-finals against Blisworth. They looked ready to push for a place in the final, but an early mistake was punished, and despite battling hard throughout, the game ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Well done to Mawsley Ducks today at the Thrapston Tournament. 🦆⚽

A great morning of football in a really tight group. We narrowly missed out by just one point, but the team spirit and effort from everyone throughout the day were fantastic.
