The Derwent AC ladies were invited out with the Keswick Athletic Club ladies this evening for a run around the town to "lift the curfew".
We followed the 'Keswick round the houses' race route whilst chatting and discussing how women can get our running after dark safely.
It was a really enjoyable run. Thank you for having us.

DALE HEAD FELL RACE 2025
1.30pm Sunday 19th October
Borrowdale Institute, Rosthwaite

As part of Borrowdale Shepherds’ Meet, with its Prize Herdwick Sheep Show and Craft Fair, Dale Head keeps the link to our rural heritage alive.

It’s a short 7.3km/4.5mile blast up to Rigghead Slate Quarries, past Dalehead Tarn, and up to the Dale Head summit cairn - with brilliant views to Skiddaw guaranteed! It’s all downhill from there with an elegant, aero glide as you enter the show field where arms of friendship greet you with a cheer and a smile. Fantastic - what a great way to end your fell-running season in style.

Entry on the day only, £5. Maps available, £1.
Full FRA Kit and Kit Inspection.
Parking signposted. Registration from 12.30 in the Institute, Toilets available.

AND FINALLY - A DAY TO REMEMBER!!
A certain club member has indicated Dale Head will be ‘my valedictory race’ (her words!)… If you’ve been inspired as I have, wouldn’t it be great to be there, making it a day to remember.
