Hello to all my friends and family on Facebook.
The following is a request for help from the Blue Flames Sporting Club.
Blue Flames is in trouble and needs your help to survive! We are a not for profit sport and leisure organisation who deliver quality facilities to the community at affordable prices. Before this crisis we provided this important community service to around 200,000 people from Newcastle and North Tyneside and we achieved this by raising funds
from functions and use that income to subsidise all the activities that take place at Whitley Park. Like many other businesses we are closed due to the coronavirus crisis and while our income has disappeared we still have lots of outgoings (bank loan, utilities, etc.) and are rapidly running out of money.
Unfortunately, due to our large rateable value we have so far been unable to secure any grants or loans put in place by the government or the council. Critically, the banks are requiring an intensive vetting process before even
considering a loan and our funds will run out before this is available. This is why we are asking for help as we need funds to keep going while we apply for loans. If we don’t get help we will go out of business and this brilliant
facility will be gone forever. So to all Blue Flames friends and users please donate what you can to this local appeal.

You can also send a donation by cheque if you prefer made payable to Blue Flames Sporting Club, and the address to send it a cheque to is Blue Flames Sporting Club, Whitley Park, Newcastle, Tyne And Wear, NE129SF.
I know this is a trying time for everyone at the moment, myself included. However there are a lot of community based organisations like Blue Flames who do need our help. If you can help them in anyway it would be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to share this post
Because of Covid 19 Blue Flames income has ceased completely. But we still have big outgoings. Our aim is to keep the club going to reopen.
