While many of us were enjoying Christmas, others were trying to ruin people’s Christmas. The Swim on the Wild Side website was hacked resulting in the loss of the website and email address.

It’s been a tough year due to the results of the Derwent Water, water quality results not allowing swim adventures for much of the year.
For the foreseeable future please refer to the Lakes2tri website for open water swimming and contact me via that website or social media.
Hopefully 2026 will be a better year for open water swimming in Keswick!

A special swim today. 3 sons decided to arrange a 70th birthday treat for their mother. She had never tried open water swimming before and was very nervous. However, she had an amazing time.
It’s the first time I have taken 3 generations of the same family for a swim. They all loved it and plan to get wetsuits so they can continue doing it in the future.

This is a great new venue for some of our swims this year. The added bonus is you can book an amazing afternoon tea to have after the swim. A private beach on to the Lake of the Lake District. Anyone know where it is?

Today was about keeping the skills up to make sure we can deal with any first aid eventualities. We have never needed to use our rescue or first aid skills but it’s vital to have the skills, knowledge and equipment just in case.
That’s why swimmers can be confident we take safety seriously. Thanks to .first.aid for an excellent outdoor first aid course.

Really pleased to announce that we have partnered with to take bookings for our swims. We have started to add our swims onto the adventuro calendar but we are always happy to do a bespoke swim for individuals or groups.
