Here’s our girl Tracy with a proper lump!

Tracy told us she got to the venue and on the walk round she saw a good one show and decided that was as good a starting point as any and proceeded to get the gear round.

The fish had showed mid way out of the swim so Tracy’s winning tactic was to spread three rods out in close with light leads fishing bright hookbaits with a few handfuls of TNT over the top of each.

Saturday morning the rod ripped off with a few friends in the swim making the moment even more special sharing with friends so thanks to Wayne, Ken, carp dog Bentley and of course Kristian who was on hand for help with the shots 📸🔫

Well done Tracy absolutely mega bit of angling!

Here’s the Boss man with his latest haul!

The boss told us he found a few and shortly after had a ghosty at 30.lb 06oz
Followed by a scraper 20 common in the early hours, followed by The Small Tail Mirror in the morning going 48.lb 10oz and early evening producing another ghosty with this one tipping the scales to 32.lb 08oz

Where to start with this catch report….

Regular, Rich and his brother Jim decided on giving the legendary larky 2 a crack for the weekend. With some big south westerly’s coming in and some perfect pressure. The scene was set.
Jim got off the mark first with one of the lakes rarer residents, one of the beautiful leathers at 25lb 2oz. He got a tad excited after the capture of one of the originals he proceeded to fall in wile washing his hands 🤣

Next it was Rich’s turn. The left hand rod ripped into action and after a short battle another original was in the net. This time in the shape of a 22lb 12oz old warrior of a common. That was the only action for the Saturday.

After both loosing a fish each in the night the mood wasn’t great in the swim on Sunday, until around 4 o’clock when Rich’s rod ripped off again. This time it was evident that it was a bigger fish, after a battle back and forth and side to side she slipped over the net cord. Another original common, this time going 30lb 4oz.

With the weather being bang on for another bite the brothers hung it out for as long as possible. Everything apart from Jim’s rods were packed away and then just out of the blue one ripped off. The lads couldn’t believe it, one last chance for another fish. Jim was convinced it was a smaller fish but when she showed herself Rich knew straight away that it was the woodlands mirror. To say Jim was excited is an understatement. When the lads lifted her in the sling she went a fraction over 31lb.

What a session to have shared as brothers. 4 fish 4 Original’s from the legendary Larky.

Another proper banger for Chappy

I got to the lake ealry evening Friday to a very busy complex 🤦🏻‍♂️ I slotted in a swim that I’ve wanted to fish but wasn’t feeling it 🤷🏻‍♂️so Saturday morning a pack up and move was decided 🥵 after moving around the complex a number of times, I noticed a swim I was familiar with was empty 👍 so off I trot again 🤦🏻‍♂️ rods all set and on there spots of crumbed TNT 🧨 boillies, it was only a matter of time after watching fish show like dolphins all over my spots,
Night passed and then at first light the right hand rod was screaming 🎣

TNT 🧨 strikes again 💥👊💪🎣 another OG of 29.2lbs

We did warn you that there had been some recent bangers out
This one from our guy Sy Turner fits the bill.

Surprisingly there had been no action through the night, and nothing from any of the lads in the group So a recast and a couple fresh baits was most definitely on the cards,
The left hand rod went out first time bosh on the money however 6 solid bags 2 new rigs later I’d finally got the right one where it needed to be,
“That’s a bite” I said to my self under my breath as I set the bobbin,

It couldn’t have been no more then 10 minutes the kettle hadn’t even boiled an that right rod was away,

Another proper one from coking farm oak lake at 29lb 2oz , one proper solid fish this , steamies tnt Wafter fished over a spread of tnt boilies , 3oz square lead with very basic rigs , having a great time at coking and especially as the sun is out and they don’t get it a lot down here 😂👍
