Well done our gents who have just gone and won the Cowan Cup. Gavin Dott best gross score and nearest the pin, Alex McLean best handicap. Congratulations to the team of Alex, Gavin, Robin, Stuart, Ron and Douglas.

Mark your calendars for Saturday 24th of July for the annual Kenmore golf club fun day!!

All members, family and friends come along and join us for a fun filled day of golf, prices, raffle and a BBQ.

Day starts at the club house at 9:30 am. Fun day activities begin straight after with a Texas scramble on the course. Teams of three for the scramble, if you don’t have a team of three, no worries at all we will sort that for you.

As usual the prize for craziest golf trousers, can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Tomorrow Sunday, the gents have a 9 hole qualifier. The ladies have a rest day tomorrow, no competition, enjoy.

Weather looking good at last for the holiday weekend. Gents competition on Saturday is the Duncan Menzies Trophy. Duncan was the Club President for a good number of years and was a great supporter of the club. Ladies have a medal on Saturday. A good attendance of members for these competitions would be greatly appreciated. Play well everyone

Congratulations to Douglas Bell and Lindsay Park our winning pair in the R&A 9 hole Challenge qualifier. Well done guys next stop national finals on 10 June at Milnathorpe GC.

The club will have a new buggy for next season, in the meantime the company have loaned us a buggy until end October. The buggy is available for use now and usual guidelines apply- priority will be given to members with a health problem
or disability in the first instance and it’s first come first served basis. Cost of hire is £5 for 9 holes £9 for 18 holes. Please let me know whenever you wish to book the buggy.

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this as our beloved Robert left us on Monday morning, he will be sorely missed ###x

For those who would like to attended his funeral it will take place on Tuesday the 22nd of October at 12:45 pm At McLaren Funeral Directors, thereafter to Daldowie Crematorium followed by the Georgian Hotel where we can share stories and celebrate the life of an amazing man.
