Bike Sale.
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who came to our sale.
We have raised money for a sponsorship of a children’s football team, Prostate Cancer Uk and enough children’s bike sales to put 20 more bikes into schools for children to learn to ride on, we have a waiting list for this.

Second,
I am so sorry to all those who came later in the day, and we had sold out.
For 80 happy customers, we’ve got 15-20 disappointed customers, and I’m sorry.

The bike sale has been a sharp learning curve for me.
So our first five bike sales, we sold 40-50 bikes over the four hours; the last two, I’ve increased the advertising, and it’s been like Woolworths on Boxing Day for the January sales.
Which I thought was a one-off in June, but the formula is looking like it’s working.
Going forward, I will keep the level of advertising, but also, I will be looking at trying to suggest more in posts that it starts at 11 am and it has previously sold out quickly.

Thank you everyone for your patience and support.
Not only are we doing fabulous work for the community, we are also recycling so many bikes.

Big Bike Sale
Our Big Bike Sales are an opportunity for people to come and just buy our bikes without using Facebook.
It’s not just Big Bikes we also sell a full range of bikes from small children’s to large adult bikes.

The bikes are at our standard fantastic prices, I’ve always tried to be competitive with our prices most bikes are a third of the price of new bikes.
With the size of the hall we have room for more bikes so we can have 15-20 more bikes at a sale so we’ll have around 80 plus bikes.

Size guide
I put Children’s or Girls bike and the size on the post.
It’s always best to buy the biggest bike possible for your children, so it will last longer before you need to get the next size up.

Please stop asking “will this fit my child?”
With no information provided
If you don’t know the height of your child
Please don’t expect a stranger to know !
And parents there is absolutely no such thing as an average child height

Adults bikes will just have the frame size
Your inside leg measurement minus 10-12 inches gives you a good frame size
An adult bike is measured by the frame with 26”,27.5”,700c or 29” wheels
Or
4’8”-4’10” 12 inch frame
4’11”-5’ 13 inch frame
5’1”-5’4” 14 inch frame
5’4-5’6 15-16 inch frame
5’6-5’8 17-18 inch frame
5’8-6’. 18-20 inch frame

Children’s bikes are done on wheel size

How to buy a bike

Step one
Look at the size guide on the page; it’s important that you know the height of the child or person, and the simple size guide will help you determine what size bike you want.
I’m more about educating people, hence why I put all the sizing information on the page weekly so people can make their own decisions and choose which bikes best suit their needs.

Step two
Comment on one or two bikes that you want to view; please remember to check back as some people are not always getting notifications that I’ve replied.
I ask you to comment on the posts so all the information is in one place.
Please don’t comment on just random pictures as they will get ignored.
When you think you have people who want to jump the queue by phoning, texting, messaging, and WhatsApp, and the reply will always be the same reply:
“Please comment on the post of the bike you want to see.”

Step three
Book a time and, importantly, turn up to your appointment.
By booking a viewing, you’re blocking the sale of the bike and can lose a small business sale.

Step four
Enjoy your bike and leave us a Google review.

Step five
And please don’t be on this list.
I have a list of everyone who has failed to turn up or failed to reply.
2nd time they do the same thing, I simply block them from the page.
I have no tolerance.
I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but I’ve spent 14 years pampering to people who don’t show me the same respect. So why should I give them more time than is viable?
