Over 100 visits to Sen Shots Summer 26’ 🏀 & our summer sessions are officially wrapped up! ✅

We have hosted a variety of SEN Basketball sessions with sensory music, sensory moving underwater walls with silent squishy basketballs , bouncy castles and inflatables to 🏀 Drill stations, learning ball handling skills through to full court games! 🤩😅

We are so proud to have grown our incredible SEN community this year, providing a safe, inclusive, and joyful space for children with disabilities and special educational needs to play, connect, and thrive.

A massive shout-out to our dedicated staff—we are a true team, and every single player, parent, and coach makes this community what it is.

🥹 Noah has profound autism, learning disabilities with high care needs -it's why we started Sen Shots Basketball to help achieve what simply feels - impossible to many.

But we couldn't do it without incredible fellow SEN providers like Fitness By Bobby 🧡

What Bobby has built isn't just a service;
it's hope, lots and lots of HOPE.

He genuinely cares, and every single thing he does puts the children first.

Because Noah struggles with transitions & group settings right now, being welcomed with a custom 1-2-1 sensory setup just for him with Shay waving in the window this morning meant the absolute world to us! ✨🌟🥹

Bobby is big brother to our wonderful Shay, Bobby has years experience of growing up with a SEN child which inspired him to provide a Fitness place like no other helping anyone with a SEN Need access sport & fun!

He is putting on a completely FREE SEN community day at his own fitness location just past Dunchurch, Rugby, which is going to be AMAZING ✨🥳 You need to check this out ….! 🥊 🪩

Hello & Apologies, I am going to reply to everyone’s messages this evening, I discovered Noah has a large broken tooth end of last week, Noah is non verbal with PMLD, so it’s a case of a top to toe check daily and listening to the vocal tones & behaviours - I knew something wasn’t right … so we have some answers now, I took the weekend off admin to regulate him as much as I can, he’s doing okay 🩵

🌟 We are trailing a new PMLD session for children with profound multiple learning disability & physical needs 4-16 years to explore and move around the court
🌟 Warwickshire HAF summer 2026 sessions are now live to book! Codes begin with a W or a M this summer!
🌟 HAF Drills and Games are live! 🏀
🌟 HAF Sensory sessions will include bouncy castles! 🏰

This morning we took Noah for a preview trip to the Incredible Fitness By Bobby who is having an open day tomorrow 🌟 at his new fitness gym designed for children and adults with SEN needs! 🌟✨ it’s INCREDIBLE!!
This is exactly what our SEN community needs, the passion of Bobby 🔥 in a sleek purpose designed fitness space!
Remember to head down tomorrow for the opening day, they have so much planned!!
(And there’s a beautiful cafe and a petting farm also!)

✨ Important Update from Jo - Founder 🏀✨

After two years of non-stop SEN basketball in our community, we are taking our first-ever four-week break this May.

While we’ve never stepped away for this long before, this recovery break is essential for us to focus and recharge, we have put everything into SEN SHOTS Basketball as a community driven group and we are very proud of where it is! 🙏🏻

We want to ensure we can continue supporting our players in Sensory, Drills and Games AND our Special Olympic GB Journey with the energy and dedication they deserve, we sell out of spaces every session we put out within hours and we know this provision is VERY much needed 🙏🏻🩵

We will see the children at Drills this Saturday who have booked on as usual! 😃🏀

We’ll be back and READY to go in June 🥳🤩

Thank you all for being part of our journey over the last two years—we can’t wait to see you back on the court soon! 🏀

Easter Half term so far 🌟 30 SEN families spent their Easter HAF sessions with us last week ❤️
The highlight of the week? A visit from the adorable Boo the Therapy Pony 🐴✨

Watching the children interact with Boo during their sensory session was truly special
🌈🐣🐴🏀

Followed by our drills and games session which was high energy! ⚡️ children practiced their rebounding skills, shooting and working as a team 🏀 😊

Its important to remember that some of the children that come to SEN SHOTS Basketball sessions are recovering from surgery, or have disabilities that mean even bending to collect their ball, or follow and complete what others may find very easy like dribbling - is actually very challenging, this makes these children SUPER determined 🥹
As coach’s we are so incredibly proud of all of our children for showing up and showing us how fantastic they really really are ✨
