Do you ever think about getting fit and healthy…

Then pick up your phone to Google where to start…

And find yourself putting it back down 2 minutes later?

You feel confused, unsure what to do and have complete overwhelm!

Well I think it’s hardly surprising…

Because there is a vast array of information out there…

And if that’s not bad enough, half of it is completely untrue…

A percentage of it probably isn’t advisable…

And the bit that’s left is so conflicting you feel as though you can’t see the wood for the trees.

As a fitness professional, even I can see that negotiating your way through all of that is incredibly daunting.

So don’t!!!

You wouldn’t go off and “have a go” at fixing the brakes on your car after one YouTube video would you? 😂

Or try your luck at some basic surgery because you saw an episode of Casualty 😂

What I’ve noticed over the years…

Of coaching 100’s of men and women is this…

The main thing that generally holds someone back…

90% of the time is down to their mindset.

Of course people will often want to put it down to a tactical issue.

Such as the wrong training plan, nutrition protocol or even a lifestyle issue.

And I’m not saying that tactical issues don’t ever come up or need addressing.

But the reason one person gets a better result than another inside my programme…

Is nearly always down to an individuals mindset.

That’s why we talk about this a lot inside my team and try and unwrap often long standing issues.

And what I love is when you can overcome a mindset issue it is so powerful!

Because we often have mindset issues in other areas of our lives as well.

We can then use these same skills in pursuing better health…

And plug them into other areas of our life…

Such as business, relationships and anything we want to really develop.

If you think your mindset is holding you back from achieving your health and body goals…

Are you covering all bases???

The first thing most people think of when getting in shape is usually exercise…

Then a close second to this is probably diet and nutrition.

However, there are so many other components to getting in shape as well.

And I love looking at these other aspects with my clients so we can achieve great things together.

Some of the big ones are as follows…..

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - if you don’t manage these two areas effectively it is very hard to sustain a plan long term.

With high stress comes low energy…

So it’s important to have tactics in place to balance the two.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 - you should clearly understand your reason “WHY” before embarking on a new plan.

If you don’t have real reasons to change you will find things a lot harder and give up a lot faster.

𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 - you probably won’t ever get these things perfect…

But you should prioritise them as much as possible if you really want to get optimal results.

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 - knowing how to structure a plan is critical. This can make or break your success in the very early stages.

It’s important to look at what is realistic and where things should be prioritised.

You will never get the same results being “reactive” compared to someone who is “proactive”.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 - if you’re going to be doing something which you haven’t done before, make sure you’re around the right people.

You want people that share your vision and understand the path you want to follow.

The above ⬆️…

Are just a few other components that are easily missed, but of huge significance.

And we need to make sure we think of all of these areas if we really want to get optimal results.

Dreaming about my next adventure…

I really can’t believe how quickly this year has gone!!!

And also how many people we have helped inside the TWF programme!!

So I thought I’d do a little recap of the year so far and share a few of my personal highlights in date order…

1) Went to Dublin for a business networking event and realised I like Guinness! (probably never really gave it a chance previously!) 😂🙌🏻

2) Climbed Pen y Fan in the freezing cold with the hiking crew .

3) Went to Printworks in London twice before it sadly closed down (new venue incoming 🕺🏼🎶)

4) A nice little trip to Marrakesh with to tick off another new country visited 🤓📝

5) We ran the first ever TWF Knowledge Workshop for our clients, which I had been putting off for way too long! (if I’m honest, through fear of not getting it right… but it went really well and I loved it!!! 🥰)

6) An amazing Stag Doo in Marbella for top guy . The wedding that followed was one of the best I’ve ever been to!!! 🥳

7) Spent lots of time with my family and friends in general… which is probably the most important things of all ❤️

8) Joined the High Performance Coach Programme with and lots of other legends!! Taking business and personal standards to new levels!!! 💪🏻🚀

9) Spent two days in Barcelona which was good but probably too short! Especially when working at the same time (so better planning needed for the future! 😝)

10) Found some amazing people to help me manage my coaching programme and push delivery standards to new heights!! (soon to be announced 📣👀).

And loads more to come in the remaining part of the year as well!!!

The question is where shall I go on my next adventure at the end of this year??? 🤔

Maybe somewhere in South America?? Any suggestions are welcomed ⬇️

Mrs Anonymous…

One thing that no one ever really sees…

Are the clients that come through our programme who choose to remain anonymous…

Which is totally fine by the way…

And we never ever want to make anyone feel uncomfortable…

Or like they have to share anything that they don’t want to publicly.

But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some amazing people out there!!!

Who have seen incredible results that I want to talk about…

So let’s talk about Mrs A who has been inside our programme for the last 90 days.

She came to use after having her 2nd child, feeling like her body was far from what it used to be.

She felt stuck, frustrated and unsure how to reclaim her body confidence again.

And even though some of her friends in similar positions to her had achieved some incredible things with us…

She was definitely still a little bit sceptical at the start.

But fast forward just a few weeks into the programme…

And she quickly began to thrive, seeing results at a really fast pace!

𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 🤓📝

🎯 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟

Last week was another action packed week and I think I almost toured the whole country!!! 🤪

I started the week off by taking a trip to the Lake District for a work event.

Me and a group of other coaches decided to make a few days of it and also climb Helvelyn the day before.

These guys are all amazing at what they do and it was so good to spend time with such likeminded people.

We’re all so passionate about coaching and determined to keep getting better and better!

We got a lot of value from spending time with each other, bouncing ideas around…

And forming a nice new support network I know we’ll have forever!!! 🥰

And that was before we even got the event itself on the Thursday! 😂

I managed to get home on Friday in time to run another Park Run on Saturday morning…

Managed a PB at Coventry and my 2nd fastest ever 5k time!!! 💪🏻

Really enjoying my running right now!

Then taking a step away from health and fitness, I finished the week at the “Brighton on the Beach” event.

Was so good!!! 🕺🏼❤️

🎯 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦

We saw the final week last week of the 6 Week Challenge.

Lots of the Team stepped up to a new level over the last 6 weeks and I’m proud of them all.

I’ll be announcing winners very soon and I can’t wait to run another challenge later in the year.

- getting leaner, stronger and fitter by the week. She can fit into a dress she hasn’t worn for over 10 years! And then hit a Park Run PB as well on Saturday 👏🏻

- Is already visually looking leaner since starting just 3 weeks ago. Training is going well and I’m really excited for what’s to come!!! 💪🏻

- successfully climbed Snowdon and in a good time too! Feeling physically fitter, leaner and clothes now fitting better than ever!!! 👏🏻

Lots of other Team members also smashing it right now…

And I’m really grateful for the Team we have built and excited for the weeks and months to come!!!

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘀?

When it comes to fat loss we lean more towards thinking about exercise and nutrition.

But sleep also plays a really crucial role as well.

Why is this????

Keep points….

1) Regulates Hormones - adequate sleep effectively regulates the hunger hormones leptin and ghrelin. Without good sleep quality, it becomes a lot harder not to overeat.

2) Reduced Willpower - when we’re tired it is a lot harder to make sensible decisions. We naturally crave quick-fix, calorie dense and sugary foods. Your body wants fast energy with minimal effort.

3) Repair and Recovery - a lot of bodily processes happen overnight to make the body efficient and do everything it does. You won’t perform tasks in the same way if sleep performance is poor.

4) Increased cortisol - if you are tired and lacking sleep it puts the body into a state of stress. The stress hormone cortisol will increase and this has a negative effect on the metabolism of body fat.

5) Reduced Activity - when we’re tired we naturally want to preserve energy. Daily movement will reduce and the chance of not exercising is higher. This all reduces daily calorie expenditure needed for fat loss.

By finding ways to improve your sleep quantity and quality you will lose fat a lot more effectively.

📝 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗙…

👱🏻‍♂️ 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟

This week has been one of those weeks where I’ve done very little apart from work, exercise, eat and sleep.

I’ve probably been to every local coffee shop as well.

I find working in different places inspiring and coffee obviously helps a lot too 🚀

I don’t plan on doing this regularly, but I’ve felt recharged and really productive since getting back from Ibiza.

Training has gone up a gear as well and the week’s break definitely helped to refocus.

A nice visit to on Friday evening which is always great food.

It’s definitely my favourite curry place in Kenilworth.

Next week the aim is to plan more personal things into the diary.

As I’ve said before it is easy to work a lot when you really enjoy what you do!

But downtime is also essential ✅

💪🏻 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗪𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗘

It was really good to get the Technique Workshop underway at the end of last week .

Loved meeting everyone in person and adding loads of value.

The community is a big part of the programme and I can’t wait for the next one in a few weeks time!

So many of my clients are winning at the moment and getting amazing results.

- has just completed his first 90 days inside the programme and lost a huge 15kg.

He is so much stronger, fitter and all round healthier.

James is someone who implements everything you tell him so guess what???

He’s achieving amazing things and I can’t wait to see where we get to.

- some amazing visual changes over the last month or so.

Even with lots of social events going on she balances everything out really well.

Great determination and focus each week and is quick to ask for help when needed.

- Dropped a total of 10kg over the last 90 days even with a few holidays and events during that period.

He’s created some much better habits and is improving each week.

Can’t wait to share some of the recent client results on here very soon….

August is already shaping up to be a great month. Lots of big things to come!!! 🏆

Great results after 3 months of working with my client Helen.

She had lost her way during the Covid pandemic, due to a complete change of routine.

We needed to get her feeling like herself again, shed some body fat and create better habits.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀? 📝

We all have certain tasks that are an absolute breeze to do and come naturally to us.

But then we also have things that are HIGHER RESISTANCE and much harder to do.

By scheduling the more challenging tasks at the times when energy is high…. you’re much more likely to win.

We all start the day with a FULL TANK OF ENERGY to use however we want.

As energy drops throughout the day, motivation often drops as well.

Positioning something like exercise earlier on could be a really good idea for some people.

When you succeed in doing these harder tasks, you start to then build up a more positive connection to it.

It is good practice to think of the things that you really value at the end of each day, then try and plan it in to the next.

Don’t start the day moving all the small rocks and leave the big ones until the very end.

Absolutely wild!

To think at the start of this year my target was to help 50 new clients in total.

All looking to drop fat, build strength, energy and confidence.

And we’ve already stormed past that target.

I just wanted to say thanks.

It’s been incredible speaking to you all in the DMs.

And even those of you who aren’t yet ready to jump in with the programme.

It’s still been absolutely amazing chatting with you until you’re able to commit.
