Some running highlights from the last few weeks:

Our Couch to 5k group completed their first continuous 5k run. Led by run leader Sam M and supported by club members, our July cohort, have progressively built up to putting together a continuous run. They then went on to run 5k at the Kenilworth Half 5k. Congratulations to you all and thank you for starting your running journey with us.

Mark R has added more 10k’s to his collection with Worcester and Norwich. Mark’s 10k collection is extensive as are his reviews on finish line snacks.

Martin B ran the Wendover Woods Half, an undulating trail run weaving through the forest with over 1400ft of height gain to enjoy.

Stewart U added Dorney Lake triathlon to his sprint collection finishing with a strong run and Neill B and Daniel L travelled to Sweden to run the 26th Stockholm Half. The route showcases many of the cities landmarks including Parliament House, the Royal Palace and Opera House.

Over in the Peak District, Sam and Steve F enjoyed the views on offer at Edales Ring of Fire. Clear blue skies and little shade, they racked up 3700ft of height gain on their 16 mile adventure.

Andy S and Colin B, our resident long distance hauliers when it comes to running, tackled the Offa’s D**e 100-mile race. Ably supported by a crack team of volunteers Gus, Helen H, Ryan B and Haley C. Colin achieved 52 miles before retiring and Andy S crossed the finish line in 34 hours. They’re already planning their next long distance adventure - watch this space.

All this and more alongside our club run staples throughout the week.
