Our wettest session for a long time! We'd planned a Summer Solstice session but the weather Gods had different plans We embraced the rain in all its glory, got the pipes and jugs out, splashed in puddles, made mud pies and collected water from the tarps. We got cosy by the fire and filled our bellies with waffles. Heavy rain has sooooo much play value!

The weather Gods are blessing us in Cumbria this week! We had a little nod to Easter at Mini Stompers with hot cross buns on the campfire, egg rolling down the pipes, bunny scavenger hunt and some egg-themed crafting.
Feeling the warmth of the sun on our faces and noticing all the new growth; buds on the trees and shoots appearing on the woodland floor fills us with excitement for what's just round the corner........

We're back in the woods for more Mini Stomper action on Tuesday 22nd April.

Pesto production in the woods!

A glorious day in the woods yesterday. We listened to a story about Mother buzzard bringing the light and enjoyed feeling the warmth of the sun on our faces! The woodland floor is carpeted in wild garlic so we made the most of it and feasted on wild garlic pesto pasta on the fire! Lots of mud painting, teddy zip lining, bouncing on the slackline, mud kitchen concocting and hammock swinging.

Pancake Day in the woods! At Mini Stompers, we love to come together as a community around the fire circle. It's a place to share food, to listen to stories, to chill out, to connect with others and to reflect.
This week we smashed out our favourite banana pancakes, got creative with the mud painting, made our own natural paintbrushes, swung in the hammocks, played with pulleys, concocted in the mud kitchen and played with the teddy zip line.
