On Saturday the 1st team travelled to second placed Chipping and produced a performance which deserved a lot more. After leading 3-1 we were disappointed to lose in the game in the 90th minute.

A tough result to take after creating many opportunities to extend our lead. After a great start it’s been a difficult run for the team, however we remain just 2 points off the playoffs with 2 games in hand!

Two weeks of cup action now starting this Friday night at Euxton Villa

The KU Youth U12’s have debuted both home and away strips over the last couple of days. Big shout out to GT7 Academy for having them this evening for a round of matches. A massive thank you to our kit sponsor Joey's Café for their continued support!

⚽️Kendal United Under 12s Match Report ⚽️

The first outing of the season, stepping up into the U13s league, and what a start!

From the outset, the boys let their football do the talking, growing into the physical demands of the game and finishing an excellent first half with a well-deserved 4-goal lead.

A raft of changes followed at half-time, but the quality and intensity remained, with the game finishing 4-0. It could have been even more, with some great saves from the opposition and a few missed chances keeping the score down.

A great foundation to build on for the rest of the season. 👏

⚽️Kendal United Reserves Match Report⚽️

Kendal United Reserves were hoping to build on last weekend’s win, but with ongoing injuries leaving the squad stretched, it was always going to be a tough afternoon.

The lads put in a great effort in the first half, keeping a strong Ibis Reserves side at 0-0. Unfortunately, the second half proved too much, with Ibis’ strength and determination eventually showing as they ran out 4-0 winners.

Plenty to learn from, plenty to take into Tuesday’s training, and we go again next week in the cup against Lunesdale United Reserves.

Kendal United Under 16 Girls Match Report

⚽️Kendal Utd U16 5–4 Dalton Red⚽️

A fantastic performance and a hard-fought victory for Kendal Utd U16s!

Kendal Utd U16s welcomed a very strong Dalton Red side in what was always going to be a challenging game.

Kendal started the match brilliantly, striking early and taking control of the game. The girls quickly found themselves 2-0 up, with some excellent football and fantastic finishing putting Dalton on the back foot.

Dalton showed why they are such a strong team, battling hard and putting Kendal under pressure. The game became increasingly physical, with some tough challenges and plenty of frustration for both sides.

However, Kendal showed great composure, determination and team spirit. Rather than allowing the pressure to affect them, the girls continued to play their football and kept pushing forward.

The goals kept coming in an entertaining end-to-end game, with Kendal eventually securing a brilliant 5-4 victory.

This was a fantastic result against a very strong Dalton Red team and another sign of how much this Kendal Utd side is developing. The girls are showing that they can compete with anyone in the league and are establishing themselves as one of the dominant teams in the division.

👏 Well done to every player today. The effort, determination and composure shown from start to finish was excellent.

Kendal United Under 9 Girls Match Report

⚽️ FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON ⚽️

What a way to start the season! 💛💙

Today saw our girls play their first ever game in our new all-girls league, and what a performance it was! 👏⚽️

Some fantastic goals from Maisie, Alice, Poppy and Seren ⚽️🔥💛, with some awesome defending from Taya, Millie, Cassini, Robyn and Jessie 🛡️💪

A huge well done to our goalkeepers Iona and Molly, who pulled off some brilliant saves and kept the team fighting throughout! 🧤👏💛💙

The girls played some brilliant football, with some fantastic passing, movement and teamwork on show. It was great to see the things we’ve been working on in training starting to come together — all that practice is definitely paying off! 🙌⚽️

Every single girl gave it everything and played their part. 💛💙

What a start to our new league — onwards and upwards, girls! 💛💙⚽️

The Westmorland league side produced an unbelievable performance to win 6-0 at home today in Division 1.

The squad included 7 16 year olds who all put in fantastic displays.

Match Report:

Kendal United U10 Rockets 🚀

An absolutely brilliant start to the season. Always a pleasure to play Kirkby Stephen. Integrating brand new players into a team is always a bit tricky, but our Rockets settled straight in and played so well together! Their passing is some of the best we have ever seen. Some brilliant saves, some excellent running and tackling and it was so good to see the Rockets with their heads up, reading the game, using their voices to call and organise at the back.

Massive thank you to our sponsors RD Diesels for the boys new kit! They’ve all grown so much again! Always so appreciated!

We had two players of the match today: 🚀⚽️

Alex: Alex had an outstanding match today in defence. He tackled, used pressure and read the ball so well and has shown his confidence in his decision making. He went up for corners and tracked back. His kick ins were well thought out, well aimed and very strong. An absolute shift was put in!

Obie: this was Obie’s first match and boy did he also put in a shift. He got stuck in straight away and covered such a huge area. His pace and tackling were just brilliant- you blink and he was just gone! He moved and got his head up, had some excellent shots and really worked well with the team.

Well done boys!
