People said, “the island is healing.”
“Being in Mallorca will be so healing for you.”

And in the depths of despair, I clutched onto that. I waited for this island to work its magic on me.

Five months down the line, my wounds feel deeper than ever.

This island has constantly tested me. Isolation. Losing my 9-5 purpose. Communication hurdles. Unexpectedly moving around. Navigating new chapters of grief. The list goes on…

But perhaps my expectation of what I thought healing was, was never realistic?

Healing isn’t just the sunshine and sea swims (although sometimes that does help).

Healing is allowing yourself to feel the pain. To give it space. To remember that I’m allowed to feel the beauty of sweet moments and the hurt. To scream. To wail. To be angry. To laugh. To love. To enjoy.

To know that somehow, all of it can exist at once.

Healing is giving myself space to feel it all 🌀

To experience the waves of life.

To feel love is to feel grief.
To feel joy is to feel pain.
To feel anger is to feel peace.

Feeling is healing.

So, do we ever really heal?

I don’t think I want to heal “fully”, if healing means becoming untouched by the things I feel.

Because I want to feel.

I want to feel sooo deeply.
I want to experience the waves, not numb myself from them.

Because feeling brings me closer to myself.

And most importantly, it brings me closer to the woman I love the most.

My mama 🦋

One of many journal entries, after a month off socials, and boy it was needed ✨ a jumble of thoughts, maybe you agree, maybe you don’t, but grief looks different to everyone 🙏

A little hi and bye on here 👋 breaks are always needed in summer anyway, so I’ll be taking a social media hiatus for the month of August ✌️

“But Livvvv, you have 2 spaces left on your retreat to share,” my mind says.

The thing is, that monkey mind of mine has been saying far more than I’d like it to lately. I can always find an excuse not to do something, but when I really weigh up the effects, I know what I need right now…and yes the retreat is still going ahead in September, scroll to the comments for more info 👇

I’m navigating some huge life changes. Grieving the loss of my mama, moving countries, leaving a 10-year career, and an unexpected house move (I still can’t believe all of that has happened, and it’s only July).

Quite frankly, it’s left me feeling lost, low, disconnected. I haven’t been able to feel fully present, and even the smallest moments that used to bring me joy just don’t have that same spark.

I’m also aware that so much has changed. I’m learning that I’m not the same person I once was, and I know that, in time, that can be a beautiful thing. We evolve, just as nature does. But growth takes time 🦋

So I have a new focus for August and beyond. It’s called Project Liv ✨

It’s about taking small, and I mean incredibly small steps towards mending my broken cup, in the hope that one day it can be filled again, because right now anything that goes in it, trickles right out. I need to protect my peace. Let go of the things that no longer serve me. Set boundaries. And find a routine in life again that makes me want to get up in the morning.

When you feel so disconnected from yourself, doom scrolling and constantly seeing what everyone else is doing can feel incredibly isolating. Right now, I need to step away from that. I want to put my attention back on myself, as yoga has always reminded me, it’s a path of remembrance, coming back to yourself time and time again ✨

There’s just 2 spaces left for our September Inner Harvest Retreat 🌾✨

So I took a little trip down memory lane to our sold-out Spring retreat earlier this year and gathered some of the beautiful reviews to give you a little glimpse of what this retreat is all about.

Reading them has honestly warmed my grieving heart more than I can say. Thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time to share their experience with me. Your words fill my cup up 🥹

I already can’t wait to spend the weekend of 11-13 September nestled in nature with the wonderful women who have booked on, honouring the final moments of summer before the season change.

If you’re craving a weekend of deep rest, nourishing movement, meaningful connection, delicious food, and the space to simply be, this retreat is for you.

If you’d like to hear more about the final spaces, send me a message and I’ll happily send over the full retreat pack.

Love Liv 🙏

If you’ve read The four agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz talks about how your “best” changes depending on what season of life you’re in 🌿

It’s been 7 weeks since my beautiful mama passed away, and so my best looks very different.

And I’m trying my best to allow myself to feel it all. To sit with my grief rather than fight it. To give myself permission to enjoy life again without feeling guilty for it.

There’s no pretending any of this is normal, because it’s not. Losing someone so deeply woven into your life changes EVERYTHING. Anyone who has experienced that kind of loss, will know that grief isn’t linear. One moment you’re “okay”, and the next you’re pulled back into its vortex of its deep ache, guilt, sadness. Grief really had no limits.

At the same time, I’ve just moved to the island of Mallorca, something I know is an incredible privilege, and a beautiful new chapter. And that’s the strange thing about grief, it can exist alongside joy. You can be deeply grateful and deeply heartbroken at the exact same time.

Some days my best is embracing this new way of life. Other days, my best is simply getting through the day and allowing myself to miss her with everything that arrives with it.

Both are allowed.

So for now, I’m “trying my best” to trust that wherever I am, whatever I’m feeling, my best is enough 🦋

Back from hosting this weekend’s Spring Equinox retreat with the most beautiful bunch of beings, and we were truly spoilt with the suns warmth & light 🌞
It was sooo good to FEEL the sparkle in my heart once again 🥰 Honestly, I was nervous about showing up this weekend. Going through the depths of grief and suffering, my emotions are generally everywhere, my nervous system tends to rocket sky high without a warning, so it’s been hard to see out of this dark hole. I keep seeing and hearing that sadness and happiness can co-exist but it wasn’t until this weekend where I really felt that to be true 💛 Its also reminded me that THIS is my dharma, my purpose, and honestly, was the tonic to what I needed in my life right now, I am so grateful I get to call this “work”, and be back holding space once again after a few months hiatus.

But my love also goes out to those that joined me, for giving me the opportunity to do what I love doing but also giving me the space and allowing my vulnerability to have a place, even as the facilitator. We breathed, we danced, we shaked, basked in nature, and shared stories under the stars. Arriving as strangers but left as souls in unity. And that for me, was beautiful to watch blossom 🌸

Who’s ready for the next one? ✨
