A great smooth running competition at the Dome Open Championships in Doncaster today, thanks to the Allstars team & the officials🤩

Everyone fought well in their matches today & again great seeing everyone progressing at each competition. Some very close matches that were lost in the last seconds, but that’s the game & we learn and stay focused until the very end.

Player of the day goes to Ethan, who won all his 3 matches 2-0, a great way to go into the international he’s at this weekend & nice to see such respect to his fellow teammate in the final, both putting on a great match.

A great day at the Ultimate 1-2-1 match day in Barnsley, thanks to the Ultimate team for a fab day🤩.

Some nice little match ups for the Team and on the whole pleased with their performances today 🤩
Well done to Ethan & Gabby (& coach Steve)who literally stepped off a plane this morning to compete today, hopefully a well earned rest this evening!

Player of the day for a stand out performance goes to Elliott who is just getting better every time he steps in the ring & closely followed by Phoebe for her perseverance to push herself & overcome her fears going into the match today, Big well done both 👏🏻

Gabby & Ethan were away again this weekend with club coach Steve.P this time at the 11th Presidents cup in Nuremberg, Germany, an E3 qualification event for the Europeans.

Gabby fought and dominated all her fights leading upto the final winning all rounds 2-0🤩 :

R32 - bye
R16 v CRO 2-0
Qtrs v ITA 2-0
Semi v UKR 2-0

In the Final she was up against Turkey, where she unfortunately lost 2-1 in a very close match gaining a well earned Silver medal & getting her quota for the Europeans in Romania later this year🤩
Ethan fought well in a close tough match v GER but unfortunately went out in R16 2-0, but a great effort from this young lad once again🤩

Huge congratulations👏🏻👏🏻 she’s just dominating the -33kg category at the moment, such a big achievement 🤩
Qtrs : 2-0 v ITA
Semi : 2-0 v ITA
Final : 2-0 v LTU

Ethan is progressing with every tournament at the moment, his drive and determination is second to none. Even though he went out in R16 v LTU it was a close match & great to see his development improving 🤩

Fantastic day at the 6th Wales International championship🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
We took a team of 8 players, a relatively small team compared to the many larger teams at the event & came away joint 10th placed team out of 35🤩.

1st on the mats was Riley in -87kg, a convincing 2- 0 win, to go though to the final.
Despite carrying an injury from the 1st match he won against a BT squad member 2-1. 🥇

Next up was Lexi in a merged 26kg category. She won her match by RSC progressing her to the final where she won 2 -0. 🥇

Following on was Bryson who in only in his second competition put up an excellent effort to lose by a narrow margin 0-2.

Next up was our international -33kg cadet Gabby who merged into the 41kg category today winning the semi final 2-0 and the final convincingly 2 -0. 🥇

Ethan was next winning a close semi final 2 - 1, then into the final where he lost by the finest of margins, 1 point in each round 0-2 🥈

Elliott was straight to final today after a late withdrawal in his category. Winning both rounds by point gap in first 30 seconds 2-0. 🥇

Sharon after winning the first round of her match, then narrowly lost the next 2 by only 1 point in each 1-2.🥉

Phoebe won the first round against her opponent 14-0 in her semi final leading to her opponents withdrawal. In the final she lost the first round but dug deep to win the next 2 with a measured performance scoring some lovely head shots. 🥇

Coaches players of the day Lexi followed very closely by Phoebe. Both showing perseverance and Indomitable spirit.
