Let’s pick up a topic that can be difficult for many of us 👉 our beliefs.

If there’s something you haven’t achieved this year, what was the belief that held you back?
Mine are usually about not being good enough, or it not being the right time, or
not having time (classic right?), or not being ready… the truth is these beliefs are ‘gifts’ to us that we never asked for. Let’s take a look at them shall we? When we tend to brush them aside, let’s actually go towards them. Write a list of beliefs that hold you back, limit you in any way. Get them all out on paper or phone…

Advent #2
Now we’ve got a clear space and nothing distracting us from what really matters… let’s establish what really matters!

The easiest way of doing this is the wheel of life.
[if you have never done it before - comment below and I’ll send you a link with instructions]

I like to do the wheel of life twice a year: before the new year, and on my birthday in June. Conveniently that lets me take stock every 6 months! Seeing if anything has changed - and if so what was my part in it? And just as eye opening is looking at areas that haven’t changed or gone down - have I had a part in that?!

When looking at your wheel of life ask yourself
❓What area am I most surprised by?
❓What area have I been neglecting?
❓ What area spikes negative feelings?
❓ What area have I focused on a lot? Can I see the results of that focus?
❓What areas do I need to focus on for my wheel to start rolling smoothly?

Have you opened all of your material advents? Let’s do an advent for the soul… throughout December I will be doing posts on preparing yourself for the new year. Come along for the journey 😉

Let’s start with a clear out.
🙌 Physically walk around every room, every corner of where you live with a bag or a bin and get rid off all the things that
📌 you don’t like
📌 you don’t want
📌 you haven’t used in the past year
📌 has bad vibes/energy/memories connected to it
📌you want to replace but you’re hanging on until you get the new version

Clear your physical space first. Then move on to mental space 💆

✅ Write a list (I prefer hand written but do notes on your phone or any other way that works best for you) of aaaaaaalll the ‘unfinished business’.
All the little tasks and errands you have hanging about… fixing, sending, meeting, scheduling… you know what I mean. All that little stuff that you’ve been meaning to do and can never find the time.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is the study of success. What do we know about how successful people set goals?

🎯They know where point A is. They know where they are, what resources they have and what specifically they want. In other words if you want to get from A to B, spend some time analysing where A is!

🎯 They know what point B looks like, feels like, sounds and tastes like… they can imagine it so clearly their brain thinks it’s already been achieved… it doesn’t have a choice but to bring it to life!

🎯 They know how achieving the goal will influence other areas of their lives, and they are ready for it. Our life is like a big system, changes to any part of it will effect the entire system.

December 1st I am launching a marathon to analyse this year and set goals for next year 2022 🥳 - all with the help of NLP tools and techniques!

The marathon is perfect for you if:

✅ You are interested in NLP but don’t want to commit to a longer course
✅You get things done better with a group and feedback!
✅ You want to reevaluate where you are going in life
✅ Address the grey areas
✅ learn a new way of working with your goals!

Register before the 26.11 and you get to decide how much you want to pay for it on the last day of the marathon! That’s right, you can join for free and then pay whatever you feel is fair based on the value you got out of it!

The marathon will be held online so you can access it whenever suits you and you can be as much or little involved in it as it suits you. (I recommend full involvement, they are your goals after all😉)

Last and this year has had an effect on all of us (and maybe more to come 😬)
We have all coped in many different ways so let’s share some ideas with each other. I’ll start and you can continue in the comments 👇🏼

Get outdoors
Getting outdoors and breathing fresh air is at the top of my list for staying mentally healthy. Here are the walking distance parks around TWells (because walking to a park is part of the fun)


Move
Our bodies are designed to move. So let’s move them!

Make something
Ahead of Halloween and with the holiday season approaching there’s plenty of occasions to get crafty - working with your hands is on a type of meditation that helps us unwind 🧘 unleash your creativity at home or at

Volunteer
Giving back to the community can be therapeutic. You’ll meet new people, spend your time helping those in need and get as much or as little involved as you want. for example are always looking for a spare pair of hands. Watch the balance though, only give when you have the resource to and not at a cost of your own well-being.

Self-develop

This one I need to shout… GO TO SLEEP
Set a routine for when you scroll your phone mindlessly. Set an alarm. When it rings - put your phone down. And go to sleep. Trust me, you won’t learn anything new in the following hour either way but at least you’ll feel better the next day😴

Feeling great? 😃 you can climb a mountain! Find patience for a toddler, make your best decisions, be the loving and caring friend…

Not so great? 😕 now you’re less careful with your words, perhaps not as patient and the decisions you make you’re not proud of…

Deemed as the study of excellence by its creators, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) is a set of tools that gives us an ability to look into our own minds and those of the people around us to understand why and how we do things the way we do.

With the focus on personal mental health NLP will allow us to understand what affects our mood, how thinking differently can help us overcome difficulties we’re facing and how to change our lives for the better.
