Every single person in our dojo was a beginner once. 🥋
Nobody expects you to know what you're doing on your first night.

At CFTS, you'll find students of different ages, grades and experience levels training alongside and supporting one another.
No egos.
No expectation that you'll get everything right.
Just turn up, give it a go and take that first step.

“I wish they believed in themselves a little more.”

It’s something many parents can relate to.
Maybe they’re nervous about trying new things. Maybe they’re reluctant to put their hand up in class. Or perhaps they give up when something feels difficult.

🥋 Karate gives children opportunities to succeed, improve and recognise their own progress.

Little by little:
⭐ A technique gets better.
⭐ A kata is remembered.
⭐ A new belt is earned.
⭐ Something that was difficult becomes achievable.

Confidence doesn’t appear overnight. It grows through achievement.

At CFTS, we want every student to leave the dojo standing a little taller than when they walked in.

Every Black Belt Started Here

🥋 Every black belt was once a beginner.
Nobody walks into their first karate class knowing everything.

Everyone starts with their very first punch...
Their very first kata...
Their very first bow.
The hardest step is simply walking through the door.

How much time does your family actually spend doing something together?

Not watching something together.
Not everyone sitting in the same room on different devices.

Actually doing something together.
That's one of the great things about karate.

At CFTS, students aren't separated simply because of their age, which means parents and children can share the same journey.

There aren't many hobbies where a child and parent can genuinely work towards the same goal side-by-side.

Homework. Phones. Gaming. Social media. Notifications.

There have never been more things competing for young people's attention. 📱🎮

Karate asks them to do something different:
🥋 Listen.
👀 Watch.
🧠 Concentrate.
🔁 Practise.
🎯 Improve.

If their mind wanders, they bring their attention back and try again.

That ability to focus on the task in front of you is useful far beyond the dojo—from concentrating at school to revising for exams.

Karate trains the body, but there's plenty of training happening between the ears too!

For some people, repeating the same workout every week simply isn't motivating.
Karate gives your exercise a purpose.
