Silver End Back Pit and Seabrooks Fish Spawning

The hot weather has encouraged some of our fish stock to begin spawning again at Silver End Back Pit and Seabrooks. It may well begin again at other waters too, so as per our previous posts re spawning

Members are reminded that under KDAA Fish Welfare Rules, Rule 11 states that;
Members must not fish for spawning fish or in an area where fish are spawning

KDAA do not currently close any waters where carp or other fish are spawning owing to the stop start nature of spawning fish and we rely on the good conduct of members to not target those fish.

Seabrooks Fish Spawning

Sunday 21st June, Seabrooks, Pennants Farm and Layer Marney 2 and 3 closed due to the Essex inter club league match.

Reminder - as shown in the Handbook Fixtures list there is a Essex Interclub Match being held on Layer Marney 2 and 3, Pennett’s Reservoir and Seabrooks Reservoir this coming Sunday 21st June. Please be off these waters by 5am on that day.
Layer Marney 1 will be available to members for fishing but bear in mind the car parks will be busy.

A reminder to those fishing Hunts Farm. Please ensure the top gate is both closed and locked after entering or leaving the site, this is important for the security of the surrounding land and the lake.
