On Sunday mornings I love cranking up the music and doing my food prep, it keeps me in check from day to day.
Most people who lose weight by drastically cutting calories [effectively throwing their body into "starvation mode"] end up putting it back on again... plus more. They've destroyed their metabolism and their body won't burn calories the same.
People struggle with the eating side but, quite often, they can simply be over thinking it too much.
Once you establish your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), you will have to undertake a slight calorie deficit if your goal is weight loss/getting leaner. There are plenty of online tables that will help you work this out depending on your age, height, weight, etc.
You need to find the balance that works for you. Slow and steady does it. Ask yourself how long it has taken to put that weight on - it doesn't come off quickly, you need to work at it. Be consistent and committed to your exercise plan, monitor portion sizes and in check with your eating.
Feel free to reach out to me for an informal chat if you feel one to one training would help you on your journey.
