Our Under 16s made it 2 wins out of 2 with an emphatic win against our vistors from Inverness Balloan Athletic.
The young Cans came flying out the traps with 3 goals in the first 11 minutes. Ethan Ramsay opened the scoring on the 8th minute and Jamie Duncan quickly added a second on the 10th minute Ethan then got his second on the 11th minute. Rory Kerr got the Cans 4th on the half hour he added his second on 38.

HT 5-0

2 minutes into the second half Rory Kerr completed his hat-trick 👏 on 49 Jayden Matheson made it seven with a fine finish. Balloan had the opportunity to pull a goal back when they won a penalty (78) but was brilliantly saved by Matthew Simpson. Jamie Duncan completed the scoring on 89 seal an impressive team performance

Our under 16s opened up the season with an impressive performance and win. Despite going behind to an early Rothes goal the boys ran out emphatic winners capped with a stunning 20 yard rocket into the top corner of the net from Lachlan Main.

A very impressive away performance. The boys played some fantastic football and were clinical in front of goal , something that had been missing in the early part of the season.
Robbie Grant had the complete hat trick with one with his left foot one with his right foot and one with his head.🟡🟤⚽️💪

Forres came up against a big physical side when they travelled to face Cove Revolution in the Scottish Cup . The players stood up to the challenge in a very even first half with a good defensive shape and very hard working midfield. 0-0 at halftime. In the Second half Forres began to creat more chances, the best of them coming from Scott Glass after a great passing move down the left but his shot curled just past the upright. The game looked to be heading for penalties but with only a couple of minutes remaining a scramble in the Cove box saw Ethan Ramsay react fastest to fire the ball home. Cove threw everything at Forres in search of an equaliser but the boys held firm. There was still time for the Cove goalkeeper to see Red 🔴 Great pressure on the ball from the midfield resulted in Ethan Ramsay breaking on the defence and as the keeper rushed out his box , he instinctively handled the bass as Ethan knocked it past him. The free kick was the last play and the boys held out for a well deserved victory for the young Cans 🟡🟤🟡

The young Cans were in fine form at the weekend with an impressive win through in Keith. The boys played some great football despite the horrible weather conditions 🟡🟤🟡⚽️

A nervous start to the first league game defensively but some promising football in the midfield and going forward. Forres opened the scoring after a great run and cross from Lewis Coulson was met by Jamie Duncan at the back post with a cracking volley. The second came after persistence from Rory Kerr who saw his shot deflect past the keeper. No deflection on the third goal as Rory Kerr sent a rocket right into the top corner brilliant goal 👏
3-0 halftime.
A few changes at halftime as the heat made it difficult. Mitchell Grant got involved with some great link up play down the wing , eventually bursting into the box to fire home . Rothes did pull one back when sloppy defending allowed the Rothes player in behind the Forres defence and Lachlan Main was adjudged to have pulled him back inside the box. The Rothes player scored from the spot. Robbie Grant eventually found his shooting boots and bagged himself four goals, after some great through balls and calm finishes. The pick of the four was a tremendous strike catching the ball on the bounce and firing home from 20 yards out ! Great first game with some impressive football along the way.
Final score 8-1 🟡🟤⚽️

Huge thank you to Burghead Thistle for allowing us the use of their pitch at such short notice. Fantastic hosts providing the parents with teas & coffees and the players with hamburger rolls after the game was very much appreciated

Our other new signing for this season is Rory Kerr. The New Elgin lad who moved across from. Lossiemouth where he had a fantastic seaaon with their u14s. We were delighted when he decided to join us and throughout pre season he has been impressing the coaches and we are excited to see him playing for our u16s

We are delighted to finally get Scott Glass to sign for us. We have been trying to get Scott to sign for us for a few seasons. Scott has been very impressive throughout pre season and we cant wait to see him in action for us this season.
