Established 1933. Classes available from age 2 1/2 + in Ballet, The Irene Ogden School of Dancing.

Established in Keighley in 1933. We are a dance school based at Temple Row in Keighley and provide classes for all ages and abilities. Including Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics and Modern. The children participate in regular exams and medal sessions and also appear in local pantomimes. Over the years the school has raised thousands of pounds for the special baby unit at Airedale Hospital, by doing dance displays for parents. Our Teacher:
Katharine Hickman is a qualified dance teacher of the (AAD) Association of American Dancing, who has been dancing since the age of 8 and is involved with Keighley Musical Theatre Company and Keighley Playhouse. Classes run:
Monday - 6-7pm Intermediate Ballet
Tuesday - 6-7pm Senior tap & 7-8pm Adult tap
Wednesday - 5:30-6:30pm Modern
Thursday - 6-7pm Senior Ballet & 7-8pm Acrobatics
Saturday - 9-10am Junior Ballet, 10-11am Junior Tap & 11am-12pm Baby Ballet

If you want to join us, make friends, learn new skills and have fun, we still have places in our Baby Ballet class on Saturday mornings at 11am. Also Junior ballet and tap on Saturday mornings, Adult tap on Tuesday evenings and Junior Modern Wednesday evening.

👏👏 Our Adult Tappers have been at it again. 👏👏 We took part in the 'Time to Tap 2026', in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
