Students attend our classes for a variety of reasons but ultimately to learn Taekwondo, the Korean Martial art of Self defence 🥋

We teach our children how to be safe & how to tackle tricky situations head on 👊

Huge thanks to hosts Mount Taekwondo Academy for inviting us to their sparring seminar with GB Olympian Lauren Williams.

Huge thanks to our student for her amazing artwork! Our mural takes pride of place in the dojang & has done since 2013.

Tina has spent several days reviving her masterpiece using gold leaf to fantastic effect, 🌟 it's certainly got everyone in class talking about it!

✴️Teaching our Tigers the correct way to perform side kick.

🦵 Starting with correct leg chamber position into full extension using correct body alignment. Foot positioning required in order to utilise the 'blade edge' of the foot; the leg must then be retracted maintaining control throughout.

'Yeop chagi' is a really challenging kick to perform correctly, and one that takes much repetition & practice. It requires, strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, co-ordination & knowledge to perform correctly.
