UNCOMFORTABLE!!!

I’ve upped my weights on the bar😖😰
Definitely should have done sooner but we are all guilty of staying in the safe, comfort zone and we should always be challenging ourselves physically AND mentally.
It went better than I expected 🤪(so believing in yourself) is another one to pocket!
Reduce your reps and up your weights.
Reduce your comfort and up your gains- in all respects!!

Homemade spicy Turkey burgers/ patties

Makes 5 whoppers or you could make more smaller ones and freeze👌🏻but I’ve got 3 hungry boys!

2 packs of Turkey mince -tip into a bowl and add…
A good shake of:
Chilli powder, smoked paprika, cumin, mixed herbs/ oregano
Good pinch of sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, white pepper
I add a good scoop of both bovine collagen powder and beef bone broth powder

Mix really well to combine all, then make into patties/ burgers and if making in advance place each one between greaseproof paper and store in the fridge until needed

You can add whatever you choose to the patties eg: chopped red onion, jalapeño but we like them as is and then the boys can build their own filling.

Preparing them takes 10-15 minutes. Then you have a meal waiting to be cooked!
I pan fry them in butter (until golden on both sides) before placing on baking tray then into the oven ( 200 for 15-20 mins) and you can then prepare other bits while burgers are in the oven to finish off.

Only way to guarantee you know what’s in your food is to cook from scratch and it really isn’t time consuming or a headache. Much tastier and no chemicals, sugars or gums - YES THESE ARE IN YOUR FRESH BURGERS IN THE SUPERMARKETS 😤 ☠️

We’ll have with salad, sweet pots, kimchi and some sourdough 😋😋

HAPPY EASTER!🐣

Enjoy the long weekend but don’t just stop. It’s So easy to lose momentum and consistency- these are the foundations for whatever you do.

Just over an hours workout for me this morning. Using 1/2 Dumbells so 10/20 kg

5 mins warm up

-Bent over row
-Alt reverse lunge into squat
- Curl to press- extension
- Swing
- Full Press up taps
-RDL
- Flutter kicks
- Hop overs
( all weighted as I use legs weights too!)

X 5 ROUNDS, 10 of each👌🏻

Last blast…6 mins of alternating mountain climbers and squat thrusts NO REST.

Top to toe stretch to finish!!

It’s a sweaty one! but get some tunes on that make you want to dance and you’ll get through it🥵🥵

Then feel the dopamine rush 💥💥💥

Hate them! Who doesn’t? Best way for me to get some energy is to move, sweat, dance and lift heavy weights

I do my reps then have a dance! Find music that lifts you up and makes you want to move
You should feel puffed out and need small rest ( 20-30 secs) before you go again

Lift… dance… lift… dance. Works for me and always, always feel energised and uplifted post workout

Find your movement… but do not let the darkness stop you moving your body and strengthening your entire being🏋️🤸🏼🕺🙌🏻🎧

DON’T STOP doing what you do !!
Just because it’s Christmas. Keep up with your runs, weights , walking, meditation…. Whatever it is you do to make you feel fantastic- keep it up while everything else goes on, as it will still make you feel fantastic!!, give you a sense of purpose, help those energy levels stay high and give an element of normality when in fact it’s anything but!!🤪

You will then start the new year on a roll 💥rather than having to climb the mountain of motivation, feeling like crap and making excuses.

Keep your nutrition in check, eat mindfully not sod it it’s Christmas and think of how much better you’ll feel !
Good whole foods, lovely Roast meats, veg etc. eggs for breakfast, good cheeses, sourdough bread, block butter. Dark chocolate and make it homemade where you can.
Avoid those seed oils, UPFS and chemically laden with sugar horrors and you will feel sooooo much better , you won’t have the slump and you certainly won’t have to ‘start again’- pointless.

Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy being with your loved ones - that’s the best bit❤️
