The final game of the first half of the season is done, and what a battle it was! Both teams were fantastic in the heat and gave absolutely everything from the first whistle to the last.

Our Thorn Girls played some great football, worked hard for each other and never stopped fighting. We couldn't be prouder of their effort, attitude and determination.

A fantastic performance in the final capped off an incredible day and secured the Haddington Cup for Thorn Athletic Girls!

👏 Every single player was phenomenal throughout the tournament, but a special mention goes to SIENNA, who was voted by the parents and coaches as our Player of the Tournament. Her grit, determination, work rate and commitment were outstanding in every game.

⭐ Player of the Tournament: Ava

Ava was outstanding throughout the day, leading by example with her work rate, determination and quality on the ball. Her brilliant free-kicks were a highlight of the tournament, helping the team on the way to lifting the trophy. 👏⚽

Goals, assists, leadership and a fantastic attitude from start to finish – a thoroughly deserved award for an outstanding tournament.

A huge congratulations to all the girls. To go through the tournament unbeaten, conceding only 2 goals and lifting the trophy is an achievement to be incredibly proud of.

The girls were absolutely outstanding today, smashing every game and going through the tournament unbeaten! 👏⚽

A fantastic team effort from start to finish, with every player giving 100%, showing great teamwork, determination and quality throughout the day.

The girls are on the road as Thorn Athletic Girls head to the Haddington Cup 2026 for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of football! 💛💙

A great opportunity to test ourselves against teams from across Scotland and beyond, make new memories, and most importantly enjoy the game we all love. The Haddington Cup is one of Scotland's biggest youth football festivals.

Good luck to all our players, coaches, and supporters travelling through. Play with confidence, work hard for each other, and enjoy every minute.
