From Monday 22nd of June Haddockston will be allowing Bait fishing on certain parts of the loch , the baits that will be allowed are Worms or Maggotts, no mouse tails or power bait.
Bait fishing will be by appointment only.

Fishery closed Tuesday and Wednesday for maintenance , open again Thursday the 18th.

The winner of today's Haddockston Fishery BBQ Competition 2026 was Robert Mcgregor with 12 fish and well done to Allan Evans a close 2nd with 9.

Buzzers , S/ Buzzers , Grunters , Cdc's & F Wings were getting great results .

Haddockston is on fire this past few days with many anglers into double figures.
Top flys are Buzzers , Diawl Bachs , Half Hoggs , Beetles and various Eggs and squirmies under the B**g .
The rise yesterday and today was awesome , come along and try your luck.

On a more serious note guys , these fish that we purchase to stock the loch with aren't getting any cheaper and without your support it could sound the death knell for a lot of small stillwaters myself included , so guys it's " use it or lose it "

The place was alive with aggressively feeding fish for most of the day.

A South South Westerly breeze had the fish up and down all day , it did t seem to affect the fishing to much with Stuart Hay ;top rod so far with :15 fish .
Allan Inches was again into some of the bigger fish with a Bow of around 6ib.
