Congratulations to all of our juniors who received stripes tonight. A special shout out to Hunter who received his much deserved grey/white belt.

Hunter’s recent competition success is a testament to the effort he has put into training from day one. Always turning up, doing private lessons with and getting extra training at other gyms.

Every child trains for different reasons, a lot just for fun and to build confidence. We don’t expect every child to train as much as Hunter, but it’s amazing to see the level of skill that can be acquired when someone is fully committed at such a young age.

We had 3 students competing this weekend across two competitions!

First off we had Hunter who competed both days! Taking gold at the British Open on Saturday and then taking 4 gold medals and one bronze at Allstars in Leeds! Amazing work and no doubt his last time competing as a white belt!

We also had Jason and Reggie competing today. Both lads winning their Gi divisions and also taking home two silver medals in the no gi divisions.

Well done lads!

It was an amazing night for the team on Saturday, picking up 4 wins and just one loss at Machine MMA. We’ve done well at shows in the past but this is the most consistent we’ve been across the board.

Our young athletes have gained a good amount of competition experience now, things are really starting to click. The addition of our fight team MMA class with has been a massive asset too. We look forward to many more successful nights in the cage!
