Something a little different today...
Over the last few years I've spent a lot of time making and refining many of the float patterns that have become firm favourites in the range. Some have been with me for years and continue to sell well, which I'm incredibly grateful for.
But one of the things I enjoy most about float making is creating something new.
With that in mind, one of my goals moving forward is to spend more time developing and releasing new patterns, and a little less time simply reproducing the same designs year after year. I think it keeps things more interesting for me, and hopefully for you too.
These new Quill-Style Floats are one of the first results of that approach. Inspired by the classic peacock quill pattern, they retain the traditional slim profile while using solid balsa construction to create larger, more buoyant floats suitable for laying on, stret pe***ng and fishing overdepth for species such as chub, barbel, tench and carp.
I've only made a handful of each size initially to gauge interest, but if they prove popular I'll certainly add more to stock and may even expand the range further.
As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Are there any float patterns, old or new, that you'd like to see me develop in the future?
