A great day for the club celebrating the Max Taylor memorial race part of the Nelson Cup. Thankyou to everyone who was involved in the running of the event and special thanks to Brightlingsea Sailing Club for hosting.
A very hot race from Batemans tower to buoy 19 and back to the jetty saw a total of 14 boats take to the water for a 8k race.
Thanks to all our clubs that took part to make this day special.
Well done to all ours crews with Violette talking 1st place in both the Nelson cup and Max Taylor cup. Nirvana taking 5th place, Molliette taking 12th and Velocity (borrowed by our friends Brightlingsea Coastal Rowing Club) finishing a Respectable 14th. Well done to all those involved 💪🏽💪🏽🚣🚣☀️

Best way to start the morning, spending time on the water with a fabulous bunch of people. 3 boats out this morning enjoying the warm sun, calm water and most of all the banta 🤣🤣
If you fancy giving rowing a go pop down to the town jetting every Sunday morning at 09:30 and Thursday evenings from 17:30. All welcome 🤗

The first race of the summer season kicked off to a fantastic start today at the Gigfest hosted by Brightlingsea Coastal Rowing Club. The 11km race from Batemans tower to buoy 21 and back the the towns jetted saw 12 boats consisting of Harkers yard, Cornish and a skiffs racing hard with the tide in the 1st round of the Nelson cup.
Great effort form our crew today with both Golden Gear and Nirvana taking to the water. Golden Gear finishing a respectful 5th place with Nirvana taking 1st place. Thankyou to everyone that took part today from rowers to supporters. Next race is our own Max Taylor Memorial race part of the Nelson cup 30th May. Look forward to seeing you all there 💪🏽💪🏽🚣🚣
