Cornwall Roller Derby's All Stars actively compete across the UK, and took third place in the British Championships T3 South in 2015. Along with our women team, we also have an active co-ed team the Cornish Nasties, and our men's team the Scrumpy Old Men launched in 2015. We are taking part in the parade and festivities for this years in Newquay this Saturday 29 August.

We are joining friends .newquay for their morning coffee rave from 09:30 before joining in with the parade on our skates - leaving Barrowfields at 12 and skating our way back to the Killacourt with the pride collective.

Looking forward to seeing our new mates from there too and celebrating PRIDE in

💙 LET’S GET BEHIND OUR TEAMMATE JADE! 💙

Our amazing teammate Jade Kelley is taking on a HUGE challenge and walking 30km to raise money for CALM - Campaign Against Living Miserably

This cause is incredibly personal to Jade. Earlier this year, she lost her father to Lewy body dementia, and one of the hardest parts of his illness was seeing him struggle with his mental health.
Last year Jade completed the 30km trek and made her dad incredibly proud. This year, she’s doing it again for him.

And there’s an extra special reason to get involved...

Our lovely teammate Megan Kitchener is taking on the Howdens 100 for Movember skating sections of the challenge across Cornwall! 🛼

Her three legs are Land’s End to Penzance (19.3km), Redruth to Truro (19.3km) and St Austell to Bodmin (26.9km).

She’s doing it to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, including prostate and testicular cancer and mental health and su***de prevention.

We’re incredibly proud of Megan and wish her the best of luck as she takes on this amazing challenge! 🙌💪

We're incredibly grateful to sported for awarding Cornwall Roller Derby a grant to help us make roller derby more accessible to our community.

Thanks to this funding, we have been able to run our Summer Taster Sessions, giving adults the chance to try roller derby in a welcoming, inclusive environment without cost being a barrier.

The funding has gone towards providing Free access spaces for these sessions, no questions asked, to anyone that requests.

Whether you've never put on a pair of skates or you're looking for a new challenge, these sessions are all about building confidence, getting active, making friends and discovering an amazing community.

Every person who joins us this summer is helping our league grow stronger and ensuring roller derby in Cornwall continues to thrive.

Want to meet new people, move your body and try something completely different this summer?

Cornwall Roller Derby is opening its doors for the Summer Taster Sessions in Newquay and Penzance and you are invited to come give it a go.

Roller derby a fast, full-contact sport played on quad skates, where anyone can become a total badass on wheels.

No experience needed, open to all genders, 18+, kit is available to loan and our coaches will support you every step (or roll!) of the way.

Come as you are ... you might just find your new favourite thing!
