Forget all that new year new me BS and let’s talk more about just changing habits, like doing something social, increase your seratonin ‘happy’ hormone levels, improve stamina, coordination, strength, balance/core and flexibility, with the added bonus of toning, some weight loss and generally feeling much healthier? As the nights are still dark and early mornings cold it means Staying motivated and exercising and attending classes gets harder but if you can push through this it can help you stay healthy and younger and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Here are some tips to help you stay motivated:
Set goals: Set realistic goals for yourself, and break them down into smaller milestones.
Reward yourself: Give yourself a reward when you reach a goal or complete a task.
Establish a routine: Create a routine for self-improvement, such as a morning routine.
Make a plan: Make a plan for your activities, such as a sports plan with different workouts and regeneration days.
Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness can help you stay relaxed and focused.
Stay healthy: Prioritize physical and mental health by eating a balanced diet, exercising, and getting enough sleep.
Track your progress: Keep track of your progress by recording your weights, reps, and cardio time.
Focus on others: Consider doing your work, exercise, or meditation for the benefit of others.
Motivation: How to get started and staying motivated
Mindfulness helps keep you relaxed and focused. Start a class or join a group. Exercise groups can be as effective as professional help.
You just have to stop procrastinating and start… look at it as having a laugh or fun socially and about getting out and off the sofa.
