As a child, I watched people I love suffer mentally and physically, and I felt completely helpless. Unable to change anything.
Somewhere between that childhood and my 30s, I promised myself I'd take a different route. But it's hard to choose differently when it's all you've ever known. You don't actually know what "different" looks like, you just know you don't want the same.
What looks different to me now isn't a look at all. It's a feeling. It's being aware of the choices I make daily, and how they shape the life I'm building. I feel like I'm actually in the driver's seat now, not just along for the ride blindfolded.
My mission is simple: always choose what fulfills me most. That doesn't mean an easier life and honestly, I'd argue it's harder. I follow how I feel, decide what I want, then figure out the "how" as I go. I don't play it safe. If something feels aligned, I'll give it a shot before I have all the answers.
I just want to get to 80 and look back with more "I can't believe I did that" than "I wish I had."
Follow along if your path feels destined to look and feel different. If you're someone willing to risk "safe" for a life that actually fulfills you.
