If you’ve ever felt like you’ve “ruined” your gut through years of poor eating, this is something worth remembering.
Your gut lining is constantly renewing itself.
Many of the cells lining your intestines are replaced within just a few days, making the digestive tract one of the fastest-renewing tissues in the body.
That doesn’t mean every aspect of gut health can be instantly fixed. But it does mean your body is continually adapting, repairing and responding to the environment you create through your daily habits.
Foods rich in fibre help feed beneficial gut bacteria, which in turn produce compounds that help support gut health, immune function and the integrity of the gut lining.
What I find most encouraging is that no single meal determines your health.
It’s the overall pattern that matters.
Every day is another opportunity to support the systems that are already working hard on your behalf.
Your gut is rebuilding itself right now 🤍
