Launch from Harbour slipway Isle of Whithorn DG8 8LL.

The forecast looks dreadful but you never know!

Training at the Isle today. What happens when 3 trustees, including two veteran rowers of the IOM Challenge and two regular leisure rowers new to competition training get in a skiff? Magic, thats what.
No training secrets here, but well done Sue Thomas for perfect rhythm and pause, Simon and Dawn for repeatedly bringing us round and Stewart, especially for extra hold when needed.

Huge thanks to our friends at Prestwick Coastal Rowing Club for inviting us along to Arran Coastal Rowing regatta today. A slim crew of just 6, three Prestwick, Derek, Michelle and Preetie and Wigtown, John, Jac and Becki rowed in all 6 races with a little help from Arrans rowers 😉

We are so delighted to have achieved a Gold, two Silvers and one Bronze medals 🥇

Such a fantastic day with the warmest welcome and fabulous food from our hosts Arran. We hope to visit again ☺️
