Our U9 boys were excited to be back at SSG on Monday night.

We had two teams representing the Club, playing some excellent football throughout - lots of goals, dribbles, tackles and saves!

BKYL Under 12s

Irvinestown Wanderers: 1
Enniskillen Town: 1

Friday night football at the Bawnacre. We kicked off our 2nd game of the season this evening against a strong Enniskillen Town team.

The game started well with plenty of end to end stuff. The goalkeeper and defence kept the shots to the minimum. Going forward we had plenty of chances to take the lead and finally had the breakthrough after 15 mins. A scramble in the goal mouth, the ball fell to Kian and he made no mistake and fired the ball home ⚽️ The boys done well to defend the goal advantage but conceded just on the half time whistle. A bad time to concede some might say. But the boys didn’t drop the heads.

The 2nd half started much the same as the first. Plenty of end to end action. The boys (and girl) didn’t give up. Kept fighting for every ball. No team were able to find the winner. So it ended a 1-1 draw.

I’d like to mention how proud the club can be of these players. Donnacha, Rhys, Turlough, Conan, Ollie, Archie, Kian, Harriet, Dubhlainn, Daithi, Caleb and Jack. A credit to themselves, their families and the club. This week again was hard to decide a Player of the match but we gave it to Turlough for keeping the defence well organised. Well done Turlough.

A special mention goes to Jack Monaghan. A 2017 player that stepped in last minute to play a blinder against players 2 years older. Not to mention his 3rd game in 5 days. Well done Jack.

Good luck to Darren and the Enniskillen Town team for the rest of the season.

Everyone at the Wanderers would like to thank Joe and all the staff at Mahon's Hotel for the brilliant food they put on for ourselfs and our opponents Civil Service after today's Irish Junior Cup match. First class service as always. Thanks for looking after both teams so well.

🔴🌑U15 girls 9 v Enniskillen Town 0 🔴🌑

Well done to all the girls this evening at Devenish College.

For most of the girls, this was their first ever 11-a-side game, and every single one of them played their part. We couldn’t have asked for a better effort from the whole squad! 👏🙌⚽️

A big welcome to Saiorse and Bella Rose, who played their first ever BKYL match with the Wanderers this evening. We’re delighted to have you both with us! ❤️🖤

The Enniskillen Town goalkeeper made some fantastic saves as the game went on, making things a little more difficult for the girls in the second half. But they kept pushing, and in the final 20 minutes they found that extra bit of fire in their bellies 🔥, seeing the net a few more times before the final whistle!

A fantastic team performance, plenty of positives to take, and a brilliant first step into 11-a-side football for so many of the girls.
Well done girls 🙌you should all be very proud!

We wish Veronica and girls all the best for their first season in BKYL 👍
