What a lovely morning at Eglinton for our 600th event.

The sky was blue, the clouds were fluffy, but of course there was still some mud and puddles to make it interesting:-)

Well done to all of our runners/walkers and volunteers who made it along. Some of whom were a little tired. ⚽

Well done to Lynn Farrelly celebrating her 50th parkrun. Great achievement.

Happy birthday wishes to our regular Connie who celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday. The turnout in orange was fabulous to celebrate this amazing lady 🧡.

We welcomed visitors from Canada, Irvine and Andrew from Southampton who is on a cycling holiday around Scotland. Hope Arran was as lovely as always.

We had some little first time volunteers:-). Thank you to our team of volunteers, you were all fabulous and made my job very easy.

If you can volunteer next week please let us know asap.

Good evening parkrunners,

This Saturday sees our 600th event at Eglinton. To celebrate we have chosen an orange theme. This is not only to celebrate our 600th, but also a certain BIG birthday of our regular volunteer, Connie.

So get those orange t-shirts, socks, trainers, shorts, wigs looked out! And let's make Eglinton bright, make Eglinton orange 🧡

Orange treats? Is there such a thing? 😉 🧡

❗️❗️❗️PLANNED CANCELLATION❗️❗️❗️

Just a wee reminder that we are off this Saturday (13th) due to the Ayrshire hospice colour dash taking place in the park!

Why not visit some of our friends at Largs Prom parkrun, Dean Castle Country Park parkrun , Troon parkrun or Ayr parkrun instead.

We will be back as normal on 20th!🥰
Still a couple of spots left for volunteers on this date so let us know if you're available!

Evening everyone,
Roster reminder emails have been sent out, remember we are running pacers tomorrow, so if you are up for it just let me know.
If I don't see you tomorrow and you are doing roon the toon on Sunday, good luck from all of the core team. Also to Ian and Michael, who are doing the sunset ultra tonight, good luck from everyone. And a very big good luck to Laura, who has been called up to represent Scotland in masters home nations.
Can all volunteers please be at the start/finish area for just after 9 please, this is so any safety updates can be done.
As always done forget your barcode and I'll see you all in the morning

Good afternoon all,

Apologies for the delay....there was some other sport to attend to.

What a lovely morning at Eglinton with sunshine and tweeting birds. I did say it was a PB kinda day and it seemed I was right - 21 personal bests! Well done to all of you.

Thank you to all our volunteers - awesome as always. We couldn't do it without you.

We hope our visitors from Bangor, Harrogate and our first first timer from New Zealand enjoyed their visit.

Well done to double act, Davina and Phillipa on their volunteer and parkrun 100ths respectively. Also well done to Andrew Gillies on his 50th and Susan Stewart on her 25th parkrun.

Remember our event is cancelled on 13th June due to another event in the park, the Colour Dash. Will you take part or will your do some tourist parkrun or will you just stay in yer bed??

If you can volunteer next week or any other week please let us know.

As always it was a pleasure being your run director.
