Scottish Employability Day!

The path to employment can be difficult and we are here helping people build the confidence and skills to pass interviews, gain qualifications that open doors, and remove the barriers that prevent them from gaining employment.

We are proud of the progress our clients make towards employment and will continue to work with them until they secure work

Thank you to the employers, funders and partners who support us and the people we work with on their journey to employment.

There is still work to do, and we look forward to helping many more people into work.

Support Our Future Trades Workshop!

Our Future Trades Workshop gives young people a chance to try out different construction trades, build practical skills, and improve confidence.

To continue offering this training, we are seeking donations of construction tools, equipment, and surplus trade materials, including timber, paint, bricks, pipes, fittings, and more.

Every contribution, large or small, helps us teach valuable skills and open doors to employment, apprenticeships, or further education.

Can you donate construction tools, equipment or surplus trade materials? Please contact Scott at [email protected] or send us a message to arrange a contribution.

Thank you for helping young people build practical skills and create pathways into employment, apprenticeships and further education.

Great to welcome Alex, Gordon and Ryan from Andrew Wright Windows for an information session on their Fabricator opportunities.

Production Manager Gordon took participants through what the role involves: working from detailed worksheets, assembling components, and finishing with glazing.

He explained that no experience is needed and full training is provided by the fabrication team, with the chance to work towards an SVQ qualification through Ayrshire College. What they are looking for is the right attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.

As Gordon put it: "every day is a learning day".

Participants met the team 1:1 and completed applications on the day! Thanks to Alex, Gordon and Ryan for coming to our office to meet our candidates.

If your organisation would like to meet our candidates, learn more about our programmes, and be part of this community-focused approach, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a message or email [email protected] to get involved!
