An excellent win in Round Two of the CS Challenge Trophy today against Mearns CC. Irvine bowed out Mearns for 112 in 30 overs with wickets being shared between M Whitmore 3-21, S Gawande 2-16, A Abbasi 2-0, D Neil 2-34, L Falvey 1-14. In return a solid 54* from D Neil and a brutal 38 including 4 towering "6"'s saw the game out in 23 overs. We now play Dunfermline & Carnegie in the Quarter final next Sunday . Good solid weekend. Well played everyone.

Today in the CS Challenge Cup we face Mearns CC from Premiership Two in what we are expecting will be a difficult match. Having recruited 2 SSE Titans overseas they are intending to remain firm within this division and looks like they are finding their feet with 2 consecutive wins against East Kilbride and Helensburgh. Sundays are a lottery with availability but we are more than confident the team selected will be very competitive, depending on when they get to bed on Sunday morning. ⚽️. Here's to a great game of cricket, played in the right spirit in front of 2 very good umpires and Alex Dowdalls in his role as Umpire Assessor.☀️🏏

Today we welcome East Renfrewshire in WDCU Premiership Three. Today is a very special moment for the club as we present a ICC Baggy to Gabriella Leibenguth - GL16. The 1st female cricketer to represent our club at 1st team level and one that is well deserved. Having started cricket with us as a Junior, her determination, attitude, drive, ambition as well as her hard work to always get better and improve soon got her recognised as part of the regional pathway hubs, Western Warriors as well as working her way up through the Scotland age groups. Currently playing for East Kilbride Ladies, Scotland U18 Women Regional team "Eagles", and is part of the current U19 Scotland set up, who will be touring Europe next month. We have been delighted to be part of her cricketing journey and look forward to see what is still to come. Go well today Gaby and enjoy the moment. Lets hope the rain stays away and we get a full game in.🫶⛅️🏏
