⚽️ WOOLVERSTONE AWAY ⚽️

Hope's first away game of the season takes us to Woolverstone who suffered a nightmare start to the season losing 8-0 two weeks ago.

Woolverstone were short of a full bench that day, so with time to regroup and secure more signings we're expecting them to be a much stronger outfit when we arrive.

Squad to be announced later in the week; expect a shuffling of the pack as we juggle availability and look to turn the season's strong possession so far into more threat up front...

They say life begins at 40, and what an example we have here!

Fitter, faster, and more deadly than before, Stanny's swapped defence to move up top and he's certainly taken his shooting boots too!

Banging in 6 goals pre-season then adding 2 more in the league, Stanny's been a key figure as Hope kicked off their season with a couple of wins after an unbeaten build-up.

Looking forward to a long season rich in goals and success - here's to Stanny our Player of the Month!

🔥 𝙃𝙊𝙋𝙀 𝘾𝙃𝙐𝙍𝘾𝙃 𝟯 - 𝟭 𝘾𝘼𝙋𝙀𝙇 𝙋𝙇𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃 𝙍𝙀𝙎

A well organised Capel Plough tried to dampen the fire of Hope Church today, but with talent all over the pitch there was no denying Hope's spark and a well deserved win was the result.

With sustained control throughout, the only surprise was how long it took to go 1-0 up - Brandon G eventually breaking the deadlock deep in the 1st half just after Stanny had a goal disallowed for offside.

Turning up the heat in the 2nd half, Man of the Match Kersey soon fired us 2-0 up, Connor hit the post, and midway through the half Brandon G made it 3-0 to see Hope cooking on gas.

A bit of sloppiness towards the end allowed Capel space to pick up a late consolation on the break with a cool finish, but the result was never in doubt - Hope should've got 2 or 3 more from their chances today.

The squad to take on Capel Plough is up, and it's a good thing a little rain has returned for the switch to grass...
..these lads have been on fire in training and we're expecting them to set the match - and possibly pitch - alight with their skills!

𝙋𝙄𝙏𝘾𝙃 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀 - 𝙂𝘼𝙄𝙉𝙎𝘽𝙊𝙍𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃!

Due to an event clash at Inspire, this Saturday we welcome Capel Plough Reserves to Gainsborough Sports Centre instead.

Capel finished mid table last season, one place below AFC Kesgrave who we narrowly beat 4-3 last Saturday.

So whilst statistically this should be a close game, if our new signings perform as they did last season on that ground we've every chance of a cracking result!
