St Johns URC Bowls Club Ipswich Small friendly bowls club in Westbury Road, Ipswich Having just celebrated its 90th anniversary, St Johns URC Bowls Club was founded in 1934.

It is co-located with St Johns URC Tennis Club in Westbury Road, Ipswich. The club plays in the Ipswich leagues on Monday and Thursday evenings and friendly games with local clubs on Tuesday afternoons. It's a small friendly club with regular club tournaments and games throughout the season. Also an annual prize-giving dinner arranged in November. New members welcomed, young or old, any standard - beginners through to experienced.

Glorious afternoon for our Finals Day yesterday ☀️

Well done to Mel Brinkley who won the 2 wood competition - the final score was 21 - 5 🏆

And well done to David Welsh who won the 4 wood competition - the final score was 21 - 20 🏆

We had a lovely afternoon tea together, followed by a few games of Spider! Prizes won by Adrian Cubitt, Joan Ford, Jan Garner, Sheila Stanley!

AGM next on 21 October, followed by Annual Dinner on 20 November 🤩

Not 💯% sure of the final score but I think Roundwood won! 😊

Played Hadleigh Carders at home on Thursday, lovely evening for a game of bowls ☀️
We scored 41 shots to Hadleigh’s 68 and all 6 points went to them! 😊

We spent a lovely Monday evening at home playing Ribbans Park ☀️
We achieved 58 shots to their 55 and scored 5 points! 🎉
