As this year comes to a close, I can’t help but feel grateful. It’s been a year full of movement, momentum, and memories. Miles upon miles of running—early mornings, tired legs, finish-line smiles—and yes, plenty of medals that tell stories of grit, growth, and showing up even when it was hard.

But more than the runs, this year was about people. Meeting incredible humans along the way, sharing laughs, long conversations, race-day nerves, and post-run celebrations. Good times with good friends who made every mile lighter and every moment better.

And then there was one special person who came into my life at just the right time, making the end of the year feel extra meaningful. A reminder that sometimes the best things don’t come from chasing—they come from showing up and letting life surprise you,

Here’s to a year of strong legs, full hearts, unforgettable connections, and lessons learned along the way. Ready for whatever the next chapter brings.

That was a hotter than hell type of day to run! But another made added to the rack and some amazing scenery to run through…….. and took my first ever tumble, on the finish straight, totally my fault for running backwards - ( )

Well done to for getting it done - exactly the mentality we drive at even when it’s tough, we push through and get to the finish - great job 💪

Also nice to see other members, who’s gonna smash the triathlon tomorrow and .a.h89 who zipped past us in the 10k 🙌

Time to crack open the next chapter of life—new page, same chaos, just with better snacks.

This house has been my five-year DIY reality show. It started as a bit of a wreck (think “haunted chic”) and somehow transformed into a proper home—complete with dogs zooming around, kids popping in and out, and me wandering about in various stages of freedom and way too many hoodies!

It’s been my happy place. From spontaneous hot tub parties to quiet nights with a glass of something strong and a dog snoring nearby. And let’s not forget the many visitors who’ve come through—some stayed for laughs, some stayed for wine, some stayed a bit longer than planned (you know who you are).

Now, with a remortgage looming and a surprisingly flattering house valuation (who knew paint and panic could pay off?), I’m looking to downsize and ditch the mortgage altogether. That’s the dream anyway—fingers, toes, and everything else crossed.

This place has seen only good times. It’s been a hub of love, laughter, a few hungover mornings, and some very special people—some who stayed a while, and one or two who left a mark I’ll never forget. Forever grateful for what this home gave me.

Onward!

🙌Great event by and I even ran in a pair of trial trainers which were super light and comfy, I deffo recommend looking into their gear.

I will just have to regroup and try again another day, it will happen before I retire from running 😂

Nothing beats the feeling of dirt under your feet, crisp air in your lungs, and the sound of nature all around. Every trail run is an adventure — whether it’s uphill battles or peaceful forest paths, it’s always worth it.

Tag your trail fam and let’s keep pushing those limits.

🏅 Chelmsford Half Marathon – Another Medal for the Collection 🏃‍♂️💪

Sunday’s Chelmsford Half Marathon… from the outside, it might have looked like I was loving every step – but the truth is, I find every half marathon hard work. I’m not one of those people who makes it look effortless – every mile is a battle, but there’s something about crossing that finish line and hanging another medal on the wall that keeps me coming back for more.

What a lot of people don’t see is what used to happen after the race. For years, I’d suffer with what’s known as runners blues – that massive comedown once the buzz of race day was over. The high would wear off, and I’d find myself turning to takeaways, drinking too much, shutting myself away, and feeling pretty low.

It’s something a lot of runners go through – you put everything into the build-up and the race, and then you’re left wondering… what now?

After many, many events I’ve finally broken that cycle. Instead of slipping into bad habits, I’ve learned to focus on the bigger picture – getting back out there, setting new goals, and reminding myself why I started running in the first place.

If you’re struggling with runners blues – you’re not alone. Talk to someone, plan your next run, or even just get out for a walk to clear your head. The finish line isn’t the end – it’s just part of the journey.

On to the next medal… 🏅
