Why wait until January? Start your fitness journey this December!

Every January, gyms fill up with people chasing resolutions. But if you’re an older adult or someone managing conditions like osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes or joint pain, waiting until January means missing the chance to start safely, confidently, and ahead of the crowd.

👉 December is the perfect time to begin:
• Build strength, balance, and confidence before the New Year rush.
• Learn safe, tailored exercises designed for your body and goals.
• Enjoy the festive season with more energy and less stress.
• Step into January already feeling stronger, not just starting out.

What makes my training different? I specialize in safe exercise adaptations designed specifically for older adults and people with long term health conditions, such as high blood press. Every programme is built to protect your joints, improve mobility, and help you move with confidence —plans that work for you. And even better, I work out of the private gym at Gilmour Piper, where there is just you and me, and none of the new year crowds.

🎯 So why wait for resolutions? By starting now, you will make January your continuation, not your starting point.

📩 Message me today to book your first session and let’s finish the year strong — together.

A massive good luck to Maria 'Wheelie' Whelan who is off to New Zealand on Friday to play for All Ireland in the Masters 55s Women’s Hockey World Cup. She has been training with me at GILMOUR PIPER putting the finishing touches to her preparation. She is in incredible shape – I bruised myself bumping into her shoulder last session 😅 . Words cannot describe the journey she has been on to get here and I am beyond proud of all her efforts, and it has been such a privilege to have worked with her over these past few years. She makes a far better job than me of telling her story: her book https://justgiving.com/page/wheelies-world-victoriagallantree?fbclid=IwY2xjawGMx9lleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHdo6ecrhgiGflXSMvk4YE9B7stTrp6hsyFrzqHh2avewHOavC_T6qivpiQ_aem_iV5UEWlHdnqd14HGE816Bw says it all, and proceeds to Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, Cancer Wellbeing and Information East Suffolk & North Essex Cancer Wellbeing and Information Centres.

Celebrating the fantastic achievements of Molly Wright who has just completed a 16 month long programme of physical activity and wellbeing support with me, as part of the TYA (Teenagers and Young Adults with cancer) programme, funded through the Ipswich Hospital Cancer Wellbeing and Information centre https://www.ipswichcancerinformation.co.uk/ East Suffolk & North Essex Cancer Wellbeing and Information Centres

Molly has worked incredibly hard in her rehabilitation, and has regained much of the mobility and strength she lost as a consequence of cancer treatment. We worked out of the gym here at GILMOUR PIPER and our facilities have really helped to get Molly to where she is today.

Molly’s achievements were not just physical however: she has grown enormous confidence in her self and her abilities, and leaves here with so many skills and a sense of belief in her self that will help her in her future.

Please consider supporting East Suffolk & North Essex Cancer Wellbeing and Information Centres to help fund other young people for support to help get them back after cancer treatment.

Such a supportive, lovely group.

We may have a new look, and a great one too, thanks to Be Peters M.A 🐝 and Jordan Bambridge from anti-ordinary and the amazing Hudons Steve Flory, but our mission remains the same. We are still here to help and support the people in Suffolk with cancer.

If you’ve known about us for a year, or even 25 years, or you’re newly discovering us, you’ll soon learn that Cancer Support Suffolk (sounds good right?!) wants to be in the thick of it. We want to support the residents of Suffolk when they need supporting. Whether it’s through counselling or complementary therapy sessions or giving them a pampering morning to remember they are more than just a cancer diagnosis, or us sending Kimya, our educator into the community to raise awareness of cancer, we want to help.

So yes, a new look, a new name, but the same core values, much needed and respected projects, just with a little more flare!
