Congratulations to David Andrews, Kelvyn Earthroll, Ryan Hard & George Ward on their selection for Suffolk’s Middleton Cup Team.

First up for Suffolk is a trip to Cambridgeshire tomorrow, support would be very welcomed.

Last season, we recorded an excellent victory over Cambridgeshire, defeated our near neighbours Norfolk, and only narrowly lost to Essex on their own green. It is therefore particularly exciting that we will have home green advantage against Essex later this season.

The selection also seeks to reward some of those players who performed strongly in Suffolk County competitions last year. I would therefore like to congratulate Dennis Andrews (Stanton), Adam Frost (Thurlton), and Ipswich Bowling Club's David Andrews and Ryan Hard and Steve Giles (Felixstowe & Suffolk BC) on their selection and Middleton Cup debuts! 👏🏼

Congratulations to all selected players, and we wish the team every success in their opening fixture 🙏🏼

Today we played our first round match in the National Club Two Fours against Haughley BC. After a closely fought match which saw both rinks finish 36-36, we managed to secure victory on the extra end!

We await Felixstowe & Suffolk BC or Norbridge BC in the next round.

We are ready to go!

Tomorrow we have our opening day, with the drive starting at 2 pm. We look forward to catching up with existing members while welcoming new members to what we hope will be an exciting summer of bowls.

Our thanks go to those who have tirelessly worked throughout the winter to maintain the green, gardens, clubhouse, and surrounds.
