Highland Bikes are an independent bicycle store established in April 2000. Originating in Inverness, our aim was always to offer the best service and advice we can whilst stocking a hand picked range of bikes, parts and accessories with eye on quality and value for money. Being an independent retailer, the brands and products we sell are selected and endorsed by our staff. Over the years, we have gained a reputation for friendly, reliable service and in 2022, we opened our second store in Elgin to bring the same quality service and wide choice of bikes, parts and accessories to the Moray coast. If coming by car, drop off and collection of bikes can be done on the pedestrian area before 11am and after 4pm although there are loading bays next to the store between High Street and Commerce Street which can be accessed at any time. This was our first attempt at removing a stuck seatpost with our remover jig. We did eventually get it out and we’ve since successfully removed a number of seatposts. If you have a stuck seatpost then get in touch as we may be able to help.

Don’t let a broken mech hanger ruin your trip. These little buggers can be very brand specific and with over 1600 variations on the market, the chances of a bike shop having the one you need in stock is small, so save yourself some heartache and always carry a spare one. Trust me.

Our new Elgin store is open for business! A huge thanks to all involved who helped us get the build done. We’re delighted with the result. You can now find us at 6 Tyock Industrial Estate, Elgin, IV30 1XY. Plenty of Free Customer Parking. We’re just across the road from Burger King (which is a bit too handy, it has to be said) and only a 5 minute bike ride from our old shop, so no excuses, get your butts down here, even if it’s just to wish us luck. We look forward to welcoming you to our new digs.

We’re moving!

It’s moving day! After a minor delay, we’re excited to announce that we’re now moving into our new store in Elgin. We’ll now be found in Tyock Industrial Estate and just a 5 minute bike ride from the our High Street store. The new store will have easier access with free customer parking at the door. Hope to be open for business early next week but if you need anything urgently in the meantime then just get touch.
