Are you using a hip sling/ toddler carrier?
Here's two things to remember.

πŸ‘‰ It's NOT hands free, these kind of carriers are a support to carry for a quick up and down. One hand needs to support at the back of babys shoulders.

πŸ‘‰ Make sure the base is supporting the bum and as close to knee to knee as you can. Some have a smaller panel so scoop that bum. Your hand is there to suppirt the back.

I have lots of different hip and toddler carriers available, tell me what you use!

If I want my baby to settle so I can watch the game tonight I'd choose...

🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Hana baby stretchy in blue
🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Integra solar baby size in blue
🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Lenny musical ring sling blue/white
🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Or full tartan with Oscha skye tartan

Are you staying up? Remember using a sling will let baby settle so you can watch in peace!!

Does your mini look like this?

Is the flap up and baby move side to side when you walk?

Babys face and airways must ALWAYS be free and clear. If you can't simply glance down (without pulling or moving anythign) then its not safe.

Lets look at common mistakes

πŸ‘‰ The whole thing moves side to side and feels loose. The harness needs to be adjusted and tightened to fit your body, it doesn't effect the tension across baby.

πŸ‘‰ The panel height needs to be adjusted so when you fold the flap you can see babys ear.

πŸ‘‰ Fold the flap down and tighten to support. This is a narrow base carrier, but you never want babhs head fully covered as it restricts airflow and can push chin to chest.

You will not always achieve the 'M' position in this carrier as the base is narrow and doesn't adjust. Watch for my next reel with the scarf hack.

Has this helped your fit?

Want to forward face with your nomad air? Watch this first!

After feedback from many consultants including myself, the team as Bizzi Growin listened and have added a cinch to support forward facing.

❌️ Before
With no adjustents on the front of the panel, the carrier isn't suitable for forward facing. Once properly tightened, that straps pull the panel too wide against babies hips. This will not cause hip dysplasia but it will be uncomfortable for babys hips.

βœ…οΈ After
Using the cinch to narrow the panel (The same way buttons or sliders would on other carriers) The carrier can now safely be used in this position. Baby can be sat in a comfortable seated position as they would facing you but with no added hip stress.

If you already have this carrier, you can buy the additional cinch on their website with instructions.
If you are not fussed on facing out, try the hip carry too. Much easier and no restrictions.

Love the look and want to buy your own? I have some in stock!
