🚴❤️ WELL, THAT’S A WRAP FOR BRIDGE TO BRIDGE 2026!

250 riders. 77 miles. And some seriously Scottish weather. 🌧️💨

Our biggest Bridge to Bridge to date – and one we don’t think any of us will forget in a hurry!

The rain was driving, the wind was howling and, shall we say, conditions were character building… 😎

And yet 250 absolute legends took on the journey from the Skye Bridge to the Kessock Bridge and smashed it.

If you were one of them, you’ve earned some serious bragging rights. 👏💪🏻

But today simply couldn’t happen without the incredible team behind it.

To our volunteers and marshals – the biggest, most heartfelt THANK YOU. ❤️ So many of you stood out for hours in the very worst of that Scottish weather, cheering riders on, keeping everything moving and making sure our participants made it safely home. You were absolute troopers.

And to every sponsor, local business and supporter who donated time, vehicles, equipment, food, services and so much more – thank you. Bridge to Bridge is a huge team effort, and we simply couldn’t do it without you.

Now, riders… one last job!

SUPPORTING THE RIDE 🚐🚴 | HAWCO

One last Supporting the Ride shout-out before you hit the road this morning! 🙌

A massive thank you to Jamie and the Hawco Van Centre team, who have supplied not one, not two… but SEVEN vehicles to support Bridge to Bridge today! ❤️

Among them are our Bridge to Bridge-branded support vans, so keep an eye out for them as you make your way along the 77-mile route. They’ll be out supporting our marshals and event team throughout the day, helping to keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Having seven vehicles at our disposal is a huge contribution to the logistics of today’s event, and we’re incredibly grateful to Jamie and everyone at Hawco for getting behind us.

So, if you spot one of those Bridge to Bridge vans out on the route today, you’ll know there’s another part of the team working away behind the scenes! 🚐👀

Bridge to Bridge 2026 is almost here!

A final reminder for anyone still to register or drop off their bike:

Please don't be late – our brilliant team then has the small task of getting all those bikes safely up to Skye ready for the morning! 🚚🚴

SUPPORTING THE RIDE 🚌🚴

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to get hundreds of riders to the start line on Saturday morning – and this one involves a very early start! ⏰

A huge thank you to Ember , who are supporting Bridge to Bridge 2026 by providing the coaches that will transport our riders from North Kessock to Kyleakin, bright and early on Saturday morning, ready to take on 77 miles back to the Kessock Bridge. 🚴⛰️

With riders arriving in North Kessock from 5:30am, getting everyone safely and smoothly to the start is a pretty important part of the day – and we’re incredibly grateful to have Ember helping make it happen.

And there’s a nice added bonus: the journey to the start will be 100% electric. ⚡🚌

It’s another great example of the support that goes on behind the scenes to make Bridge to Bridge possible.

You might be doing the pedalling, but you’re certainly not doing it alone. ❤️

🚴 ROAD USER NOTICE | SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER

This Saturday, hundreds of cyclists will take on the 77-mile Bridge to Bridge Highland Cycle, travelling from the Skye Bridge to the Kessock Bridge in support of local Highland charities. ❤️

📍 The route starts in Kyleakin, travelling via Strathcarron, Achnasheen and Garve before finishing in North Kessock.

If you’re travelling in these areas on Saturday, please be aware that you may encounter groups of cyclists at different points along the route throughout the day, they set off at 8.30am from Kyleakin.

We’re asking road users to please:

🚗 Give cyclists plenty of space when passing
👀 Take extra care on bends and narrower sections of road
⏱️ Be patient and only overtake when it’s safe to do so

Our riders have trained hard, fundraised and are taking on an epic challenge to support some brilliant causes across the Highlands.

A little extra patience and consideration will help everyone enjoy the day safely.

And if you spot our riders along the way, give them a wave or a cheer – they’ve got 77 miles to get through! 🙌
