So excited for a fresh new look!

When I first started teaching, I chose My Movement Space because I wanted to create a space with intention and purpose.

I often think about what Pilates means to me beyond the movement, breath and shapes we make.
For me, Pilates draws me inward. It has taught me presence and strength that doesn't always look the way we might expect.

Through ongoing education and self-practice with some of the most incredible mentors in the industry, l'm able to continually grow as a teacher — and I love watching my clients grow with me, month after month and year after year.

Over time, so many of you have naturally called it "Pilates with Adele," so it felt right to make the name more personal and true to the space we've built together.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing updates on the exciting changes planned.

I'm so grateful for Pilates, for each and every one of you who attend my classes and sessions (past and present) and for the small moments that have brought us here.

Beach Stabilise + Stretch Class ✨
REVIVE your SOUL • Sunday restorative movements with you ~ to recover & refresh for the week ahead.

We focused on full body mobility + flexibility + breath.

• August booking dates are live and this month we will have 2 beach classes.

Don't underestimate what gentle movement involving extension, rotation + lateral flexion can do for your body.
We spend a lot of time in a flexion position, think; driving, sitting at a desk, eating dinner, forward walking, etc.

And movements focused on moving and rotating the thoracic spine out of a typically flexed, rigid posture allow for a reduction in intra-abdominal pressure and increased rib cage mobility.
So it can help to improve diaphragm descent / better breath capacity. It can also prime the body for unexpected movements out of our habitual postures. (ie. less chance of injuries)

Beach Stabilise + Stretch Class 🌊☀️

Did you know that stretching can help in more ways than simply improving flexibility?
When our muscles are tight, it can become harder for us to perform exercises correctly.
Decreased mobility ranges, overcompensation of other muscle groups and it can lead to muscle imbalances and poor posture too. The risk of injuries like pulled muscles or joint pain also becomes higher.

For this class, expect isolated stretches to specific muscles and steady, controlled positions, carefully re-aligning the body to leave you feeling decompressed and uplifted.

• Everyone Bring your partner/friend and your own mat or beach towel and afterward enjoy a cold swim or a walk along the beach or go for a coffee/ice cream (own arrangements not part of the class) - fur babies welcome! 😊

My June classes are now live and i’m so excited to have added a few more offerings to my current private sessions and classes.

The Studio:
Thursday 6.30pm - Full body fusion 1 hour mat class

Our favorite time of the week in our favorite place with the best vibes. The classes are open to both members and non-members.

Willow & Blue:
Monday 12.30pm - Core burner 45min class
Monday 4.30pm - Teen Pilates 30min class
Wednesday - Start date TBC - Pilates with sliders 30min class

Let’s teach young talent how to be mindful and strong from the inside and apply the Pilates principles they learn in this class not only in their sports/activities but also in the classroom and all other aspects of their lives.

How can Pilates benefit teenagers?

+ Core : Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles which are essential for stability, balance, and overall strength.

+ Posture: Pilates helps teenagers develop awareness of their posture and by strengthening the core muscles it leads to better alignment and posture.

+ Stress : Pilates incorporates mindful breathing techniques which can help teenagers manage stress and anxiety.

+ Injury : By improving strength, flexibility, and body awareness Pilates can help teenagers prevent injuries, especially during sports or other physical activities.

+ Concentration: Pilates requires focus and concentration, which can translate to improved concentration and attention span in other areas of life, such as academics.

+ Confidence: As teenagers see improvements in their strength, flexibility, and overall fitness through Pilates, their confidence and self-esteem can increase.

This class is suitable for children aged 12-17 years.

➡️ try the pelvic curl, chest lift and hundred prep or just 15 minutes of movement

Celebrating all the moments of with YOU.

I am so happy to have celebrated this milestone with all my amazing clients this past week, some of whom have been with me since the very first day I started last year. I am so grateful for each and every one of you (past or present client) and what we have experienced together over this past year.

Finally I have some Mat classes starting in October. A great alternative for anyone who has not been able to get in for an equipment class.
