And here it is, the final donation total - a whopping £10,766.21! We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who’s supported us and made this possible - our original target just under a year ago was £2000!!

Most of all, we’d like to dedicate this final post to Hilary Picardo, an incredible mother, daughter, sister and wife, who we hope is looking down with pride. ❤️

With 2 weeks gone since the end of our ride, it’s been a great chance to look back on some of our favourite moments. Contenders include:

Conquering the Bealach na Ba and enjoying the amazing and ever-changing scenery 🚵🏼🏞
Luke’s huge lunches which always came at just the right time 🥪
Playing Who Wants to be a Millionaire one evening with the original soundtrack from Spotify 🎼
An unexpected delivery of Champagne from the lovely Caroline Mckittrick to celebrate finishing 🍾

Day 7: 102km from Wick to Dornoch. Compared to the torture of the day before, this day was always going to be off to a winner with weaker winds, permanent sunshine and less climbing! It wasn’t without its challenges however, with Max left manually moving his chain to change gears after damage to the bike the day before! One day to go - tomorrow we head back to Inverness! Day 6: 132km from Kyle of Tongue to Wick, via John O’Groats, and 11 hours from start to finish! After a sunny morning and a picturesque lunch spot in Thurso, the weather really turned with high winds and fog making the second half of the ride a real challenge - “I can’t wait to sell this bike” was overheard from one rider at a particularly low moment! 405 miles of 500 now complete, with two days to go! Day 5: 68km from Achlyness to Kyle of Tongue. A day perhaps ambitiously previewed as a “day off” by one team member, but certainly a much needed shorter one.
