Check out the glow up of these specialised cranks and pedals! Removed the rust, sanded the old paint down and repainted.

While repairing bikes I make it my aim to try to reuse and renew old parts instead of just throwing them out and buying shiney new parts.

Good for my purse and for the environment. 🌍

Meet my latest project. I recently bought this Apollo Fusion to try my hand at road cycling.

Upon investigation it seems my new buddy needs some TLC and some new components...

This made me super excited! Because if you didnt already know, i absolutely love bike maintainance! 😁🔧

Taken on our latest adventure to Loch Quoich, where James got to paddle his new boat! 🚣‍♂️ We couldn't resist the opportunity to get, yet another, sunset siloutte photo of our dog, Skye 🐕

Amazing weather! Can't wait for more paddles this summer!

Yesterday's walk up Braeriach. First Munro in my journey getting back into the outdoors! I'm going to be honest and say we didn't make the highest summit of 1296m unfortunately we had to turn back due to time constraints.

However I think it's definitely an important skill to know when to turn back and knowing when enough is enough when leading groups, even if we were only 1km off the summit. I'm really excited to keep walking, cycling and canoeing over this summer and improving my skills and fitness levels.

I actually found this quite difficult in terms of fitness. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say covid has had an impact of our fitness levels. However I'm not going to let today's difficulty deter me from keeping pushing myself and getting outdoors!
